Proof

Through the awakening process, I have found myself questioning the true reality of the planet and wanting some sort of "proof" that what I am believing is truth. I struggled for a while with my ego trying everything it could to confuse me. I could almost pinpoint the source of my feelings, but I couldn't escape the idea of wanting "proof". I went outside and I looked up at the night sky with so many thoughts and emotions running through my entire body. I opened my heart to the universe before me and asked for "proof". After a few minutes, with tears streaming down my face, I went back inside and looked out my bedroom window. I stared aimlessly trying to stay as grounded as possible when all of a sudden it hit me. I watched the river outside my bedroom window as it flowed smoothly and quietly in the night. There was my "proof"! The river flows, as the blood flows through my veins, as the earth flows through the universe, as we flow through time, as life flows, and as all of creation flows. We are all one, each one of us a unique part of a unified oneness in which only love exists. There is "proof" all around us. Look in the mirror. Existence is "proof". My heart beats because I am, and that is all the "proof" I will ever need.
