We wanted to give everyone a head's up about this so people know what's going on. There's an mock "alien invasion" being planned on the fpvlab.com, it's a forum all about flying models airplanes using first-person video. Here's a cached version of the original post about the "invasion". Their plan is to "fly several multirotors at night time (in your respective time zone) at a time that many people are awake / out on the street, with lights on the aircraft, far away enough from people not to be caught but close enough to cause UFO sightings". If successful, they hope to "pull off a worldwide prank that causes UFO sightings all over the world and causes an apocalypse-like idea in all the media".

The ‘aliens’ will be strips
The ‘aliens’ will be strips of LED lights, on remote-controlled multi-rotor drone aircraft - launched at 8pm, so there are plenty of people to see the ‘invaders’, and held at a distance where it’s difficult to see what’s behind the glowing lights.
Umm
We Could Look At This A Test ...
I guess ..Who Will Fall For This I Guess.
But, I Would Never Fall For That..
Tara Grace..
maybe the real ones will
maybe the real ones will decide to appear at that time to put this ridiculous and pointless hoax out of order.
Hahaha MindspinDave...
...That would be 'priceless' to see the look on the hoax participants' faces, if the joke were to turn back on 'them'!! Good thinking. That very well could happen! We shall see.
