The only role of duality is to keep a Being asleep while its only redeeming factor is that it allows the experience of Re-Awakening into what's Real. Is it good? Yes. Is it bad? Yes. It's really only a limited way of looking at things, it's neither complicated nor frightening. When you really understand duality, there's no reason to hold on to it anymore. Duality exists only within the mind, the physical realm isn't even dualistic. What people call darkness is really just a frequency of Light outside the range of human perception. Duality is an attempt to conform a Multi-Dimensional Experience into a system of beliefs. It's inherently broken and cannot be fixed. It has to be thrown away entirely.
Any time you experience fear, anger, jealousy, engage in conflict, or hold a grudge, all those come from dualistic beliefs and feed into dualistic beliefs. Everyone that's a part of our society has been programmed with an enormous amount of beliefs the feed into duality. These need to be resolved before a Being can truly Awaken. A demon is an incomplete thought, and a dualistic thought is always half a thought. You can call these sin, attachments, or karma if you wish, at their most basic understanding they are all the same. It's something unresolved that you're holding on to,
I'll give you a technique for clearing emotional attachments. Here's the meditation:
Breathe
Okay, that's it. Nice meditation isn't it? Of course, for most people there's a lot more to the meditation than what they may see at first. You simply breathe, but you must breathe correctly. You must breathe Peacefully and Consciously. You must be stubborn enough to sit there and do it right. Don't shut anything out, don't close your eyes, be aware of everything you feel and see. When your mind starts to wander, focus upon your breath. Breathe. Breathe in everything around you. The greatest meditation is to live your life fully Present. You don't shut things out or dull the senses like some "meditations" try to do, you embrace everything and through this you grow bigger. Fake meditation is like watching a TV show, it's a pleasant distraction, but its effects are only temporary. True meditation changes you forever in every moment of Presence, you're always growing, learning, evolving, and expanding.
Blessings,
Will

Somehow it seems like more of
Somehow it seems like more of duality to me: true meditation , doing it the right way vs false meditation which is like watching tv.... I prefer to look at it another way. All meditation is a means to become more and more in the NOW and yes: once fulltime in the present you will be aware of the breath and that will do.

Just building the awareness
Just building the awareness muscle ;), that's what we do, in diff. ways.
I've seen many practice
I've seen many practice medidtation in a way that makes them less present, so I'm going to have to disagree here. They use it to shut out their Life, instead of facing Life directly. Many repetitive techniques actually dull the senses, and encourage the meditator to drift around in the astral realm instead of really expanding Awareness. It would be nice if people didn't call this meditation at all, it's more like dreaming, but they do, so for the sake of understanding I made the distinction and used dualistic terms to describe dualstic things.
Given/Received in the most perfect moment ....
Oh my ~ thank you for this at a perfect time when I have just lot my elegance in screaming at someone in the midst of a seriously incomplete thought. Thank you for this gentle monumental reminder!
It would be useful for people
It would be useful for people to understand the difference between polarity and duality as well. Duality is a belief system, it's good and evil, right and wrong, things that don't exist outside of a mental perception. Polarity, on the other hand, is what the physical realm revolves around. That's the male/female magnetic attraction and it's what allows the whole physical realm to exist. Duality divides and creates conflict. Polarity compliments, and creates harmony.
