FDA Protects Big Pharma Products By Declaring Silver Has No Therapeutic Value

The EPA, on the other hand, allows its widespread use as a germ killer in clothing, bedding, cosmetics, electric shavers, baby bottles, and food containers. Silver has been used as an antimicrobial for thousands of years—that’s why forks, spoons, and platters were traditionally made out of silver. Nanosilver, however, sprang out of the new science of nanomaterials, which involves creating objects smaller than 100 nanometers. (A nanometer is a billionth of a meter.) For example, the period at the end of this sentence is a million nanometers wide.

Objects this small can penetrate parts of the body that larger sizes of silver cannot and thus potentially increase silver’s antimicrobial effect. The new size however also poses potential risks of misuse. The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) filed a lawsuit in January 2012 to block the EPA from allowing nanosilver on the market without the legally required data about possible harmful effects. Australian microbiologist Gregory Crocetti adds that important clinical uses of silver “will be diminished by completely hysterical and frivolous uses” such as nanosilver being used in bedding and clothing simply to prevent odors and keep linens fresher longer between washings. He implicitly acknowledges, as the FDA will not, that nanosilver has important therapeutic applications.

a canine healing experience using colloidal silver

Arizona's picture

Of my family's crew of rescued animals that includes horses, dogs, cats, and chickens - one of our dogs - a dogo argentino, started suffering from severe folliculitis a few years ago - it got so bad that we had to do daily treatments and keep tee shirts wrapped around her all the time.  We did everything possible dietary and nutrition wise for her - supplements, anything alternative we thought could help -- we ultimately resorted to allopathic meds and for a time had her on prednisone -which did not last long because that led to a pancreatitis attack (as many know steroids can be very damaging to the liver whether for animals or humans).  I was at my wits end and a little over a year ago a friend who does rescue recommended feeding colloidal silver in tiny amounts.  We did half a tsp 2x a day for five days, then a couple of times a week for a couple of weeks - I added it to a splash of chicken broth and she licked it up quickly out of a small dish each time.  I also applied a few drops to her skin topically in the more inflamed areas.  After day three, her skin was healing dramatically and we no longer had to keep tee shirts on her - best of all she wasn't scratching and bleeding all the time - she was like a new dog.  After that initial treatment, I only give her a dose for a day or two as needed, which has maybe been once or twice a year.  Nothing else helped except colloidal silver!  I am sold, and always keep a vial of 30ppm on hand now.  I hope this info helps others who are dealing with skin issues whether for humans or animalssmiley

Defy logic

That is what the denial of therapeutic value statement is. Silver is used in burn units across the globe to rapidly heal burns. Before the use of silver those with 80% of their body being burned had little hope. It is much more likely for these people to survive due to silver. Nanoparticle silver, hemp products, and the long list of natural products actually work. Big pharma hates that. Their products are mostly no better than a band-aid on a broke leg. But, they make tons of money, so that is good enuf, Right? The only conclusion people can really make with these apparant ignorant statements is there is no motive to tell the truth. But, a big dollar motive to lie. This leads to sad grumpy liars. Send them all the love ya can.

colloidal silver works!

I was soooo impressed withthe value of colloidal silver that i purchased a colloidal silver generator (@$125) that both my husband and I use. he has Crohn's disease which means he needs to be particlarly aware of any potentially fectious issue. We also use colloidal silver for our animals. The doggies and cats drink water with a few drops of colloidal silver which works to keep them free of parasites! The outdoor kitty had a bad eye infection and putting heavy doses of colloidal silver cleared it up!
