According to Eastern metaphysical theories of Ayurvedic Indian Medicine, there are seven major spiritual centers of the body. These are called the chakras. These energy centers can be likened to wheels of energy that each correspond with certain organs and glands, as well as mental, emotional, and physical states.

When we are under stress, the chakras can get clogged with heavy, unwanted energies. When this happens we can feel stuck, tired, run down, mentally foggy, and overly emotional. Simply cleansing the chakras can help to clear out these stuffy, unwanted energies and allow the chakras to function optimally once more.
