Life Comes to You in Many Guises

In life in the world, you often feel that you are on the scrimmage line. You feel you are being put to a test, right and left. As if life were an audition while you have already been chosen for the part. You chose yourself.

When you look back, you will come to see that experiences you saw as misadventure did bring you glad tidings.

When you have seen yourself yanked out of one valued experience into an unwanted one, you were blessed. You may have experienced this in many ways. There is the gold in every experience, even in being wrenched from where you wanted to be. In some cases, you have already seen this. If this is what is meant as My Will, you begin to see that even that which appalled you was Good Will, not disaster as you thought.

You experience disaster because of attachment. Life is teaching you to let go of attachment. Life is life. Life is not attachment. Today you can live in the tropics. Tomorrow you may be in Alaska. Today you may be in the lap of luxury, and tomorrow out in the cold. Life is not so predictable as you would like it to be. You want your way. You want what you think is your way. Life is neither predictable nor preventable. Life comes to you in many guises.

No matter how fearful to you what occurs, there is good in it for you. You will grow from it. You would rather not take a step outside of your perceived safety zone. You call safety that which you already know. O, how My children like to keep life locked in place.

There is something to learn from everything. And, sometimes, your life experiences are not meant just for you. You are meant to not only inspire yourself but to inspire others.

All of My children are waking up from their sleep and a wayward dream. Sometimes your dream of the Book of Life is filled with Golden Chapters of Beauty, and some seem like Grimm Fairy Tales where there are monsters and, yet, also, morality. Even while there are witches and ogres, there are fairy Godmothers and true princes and princesses. And there are saves. The jealous Queen who wanted to be the fairest of all did not succeed in destroying Snow White.

Of course, life in fairy tales and life in the world can appear drastic. Life certainly provides contrast. There seems to be no zig without a zag.

Life in the world is not so momentous as it appears. It is, indeed, a dream from which you will awake. For a minute, you are suspended in the world. It seems like forever to you and the most important urgent passage. So it seems. All the while, you sail a ship in Eternity. You are sailing in a beautiful lagoon. The lagoon is not always in your sight. You may see yourself as sailing on the back of a whale or in the Dead Sea. You may see yourself as treading water. You may see yourself drowning.

None of this is true. This is the illusion to beat all illusions. Yet that does not assuage you. It certainly is real enough to you. It is real enough to give you nightmares within this realm of illusion. And yet you grasp your place in the world for dear life.

Let your sojourn on Earth BE dear life, dear ones. Enjoy it. Bounce with it, and you will break no bones. It is not life that is painful. It is your resistance to life that makes life painful.

In the fairy tales, there are often three sons, and the youngest son is often called the Simpleton. Of course, it is this youngest son who wins the Princess and the Kingdom. Why is this? Precisely because he accepts opportunity, no matter what it looks like. Wisdom may come to him in the guise of a mouse. The youngest son welcomes what comes to him. This is innocence, and so, through innocence and not cleverness, he finds all that he is seeking, and so can you.
