In a record breaking low for the amount of trust that Americans place in the government, a new poll from CNN/ORC shows that only 13 percent now trust the government to do the right thing. This is the lowest number registered since polling began, even lower than directly after Nixon’s Watergate scandal when trust was at 36 percent.
The distrust is not isolated to one branch of government or to one of the corporate political parties, but shared between them all.
