Meet The Doctor Who Prescribes Fruit And Vegetables Instead Of Drugs!

by Amanda Froelich, TrueActivist.com

Instead of suggesting surgery or drugs to remedy a patient’s problems, this doctor makes nourishing food the first priority.

Although it was Hippocrates, the father of modern day medicine, who so famously stated “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine thy food,” few conventional doctors take seriously those words or wisdom and make wholesome, nutritious living the foundation of their patient’s treatment plan.

But in Houston, Texas, a progressive doctor has begun prescribing fruits and vegetables instead of pharmaceutical drugs, as he and many others believe nourishing food is an essential requirement for becoming ‘well’.

After years of treating patients’ modern-day ails, such as Diabetes and high blood pressure, Dr. Garth Davis discovered that diet and lifestyle are truly the best tools for helping a body become vibrantly well.

An Introduction To True Direct Democracy, Our Path To Freedom

by John Reid, via Collectively Conscious

Introduction

In conversations, Facebook posts and comment sections I often talk about what is the one true path to freedom, justice and democracy, namely, True Direct Democracy, the system in which all voters participate in all major decisions via electronic voting.

This often leads to my being asked what direct democracy is and I usually oblige by writing a few paragraphs explaining it and the changes we will all benefit from having it.

There isn’t a great deal of information out there about direct democracy so I decided to put together this e-booklet as a free resource to help people understand and to pass on to others so we can spread the word that there is a system which would enable we the people to enjoy true freedom and democracy, a life changing system which will free us from the criminal power elites who have taken from us for so long.

The Present Systems of Governance Has Failed Us!

We are living in very interesting times and things are going to get far more ‘interesting’ as we move through the coming years.
If you are reading this then we shall assume you have had enough of what is going on around us and our beautiful planet and likely feel powerless as how to change things for the better.

Mysticism, Oneness, Spirituality, And Describing The Indescribable

Source: www.themindunleashed.org | Original Post Date: November 15, 2015 –

mysticism-oneness-spirituality-and-describing-the-indescribable

If order to figure out who we are, why we are here, and what our purpose is we often end up exploring religion, science, philosophy and spirituality.  This quest can teach us a lot of things about what other people have figured out so far.  New things are being figured out every single day and sometimes they contradict one another.

We can read and learn as many things as we want  but without direct experience it will always be based on another person’s description of an event or finding that they had.  That always leave room for doubt.  Yes, you can have faith that their description of their experience is true but what if their perception was biased or there were important details that were indescribable or not yet measurable?

7 Ego Dissolving Zen Stories That Force You To View Things Differently

by Luke Miller Truth Theory

Zen Flesh Zen Bones is my go to book for decluttering the mind, the first part is a transcription of 101 Zen stories. The second part is called the gateless gate- which is a series of koans, which are short paradoxical statements, stories or questions that can be used to help aid in meditation or to give a student something to intensely focus on, which can help in the attainment of enlightenment.

The last section is called 10 Bulls and is about finding your purpose. Each of the 10 bulls is a metaphor for a step on your journey and can really help you to find where you are on your path and what you need to do to go further or in fact what you should not be doing.

Below are 7 stories which are taken from the 101 zen stories, which will make you stop and think about how you view the world.

Preview Of The TPP? America Just Blocked A Massive Solar Project In India

Solar power sees unprecedented boom in the United States – solar power grew by 6.2 gigawatts in 2014; and 1 million American homes have solar panels as of February 2016. However,  the United States dragged India to the World Trade Organization claiming that India’s efforts to boost local production of solar cells and solar modules violated WTO rules.

Just recently, a WTO panel has ruled that the domestic content requirement (DCR) imposed under India’s National Solar Mission (NSM), is inconsistent with its archaic treaty obligations under the global trading regime. The requirement in question mandates a percentage of components to be sourced locally, to boost homegrown production of solar cells and solar modules.

Colorado County Moves To Phase Out GMO Crops

Source: www.naturalsociety.com | Original Post Date: March 20, 2016 –

County staff in Colorado’s Boulder County have been directed to draft a plan to rid county-owned land of genetically modified crops in the relatively near future. The directive was given recently (March 2016) by the Board of County Commissioners in the best interest of their people.

Under the current county cropland policy, adopted in 2011, tenant farmers are allowed to grow certain varieties of GM sugar beets and corn. But groups challenging the safety and health impacts of GM crops are eager to see them phased out. Advocates of non-GM agriculture fear that human health and the water, soil, and environment in general are negatively affected by growing biotech’s seed.

Reimagining The Way We Teach History

Source: www.themindunleashed.org | Original Post Date: January 28, 2015 –

In this world that is so full of deception, finding the full truth is close to impossible. The propaganda machine is in full swing. The bought and paid for mainstream media outlets continue peddling lies and misinformation. Our so-called world leaders rally for freedom of speech while their war on dissent rages on. Everything is backwards. Civilians in Gaza are massacred by the State of Israel yet anyone who exposes these war crimes is deemed an Anti-Semite.

North Korea is accused of hacking Sony by the US Government and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, yet the US cannot produce any evidence of North Korea’s involvement.

Connecticut Becomes 2nd State To End Homelessness For Vets

Source: www.naturalsociety.com | Original Post Date: March 2, 2016 –

Following Virginia’s lead, all veterans who need a home in the state of Connecticut can now get one. This move makes the state the second in the US to end homelessness for those who have served their country.

Virginia must find a home for any veteran who wants one within 90 days of submitting an application, and though Las Vegas, and Syracuse and Schenectady in New York are attempting similar programs, Connecticut has beaten them in the race to end homelessness in America.

Utah has a program for the homeless as well, though it gives apartments to the chronically under-housed, instead of focusing on just Veterans. In just eight years, the state has reduced homelessness by 78 percent. Citizens call the program a ‘housing-first’ solution to multiple social problems.

Nixon Advisor Admitted War On Drugs Invented To Crush Anti-War And Black Movements

by Carey Welder, The AntiMedia

In 1994, a former Nixon policy adviser admitted the War on Drugs was waged not to keep Americans safe, but to crush dissent. According to John Ehrlichman, who served time in prison for his involvement in the Watergate scandal, the Drug War was intended to disempower anti-war and black rights movements in the 1970s.

Author Dan Baum wrote in the April edition of Harper’s Magazine that in 1994, he spoke with now-deceased Ehrlichman, who frankly explained why President Nixon pushed prohibition:
