Turkey’s central region of Cappadocia is internationally renowned for its deep valleys and soaring rock formations dotted with homes, chapels, tombs, temples and entire subterranean cities harmoniously carved into the natural landforms. Yep, underground metropolises are under the inconspicuously picturesque hills. The Turkey’s Housing Development Administration had sunk 90 million liras into new housing development when the construction teams were about to get started. They had stumbled the world’s largest underground city.
