Famous Scientologists like Tom Cruise and John Travolta have touted the value of Narconon, a drug rehabilitation program based on the teachings of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. "We are the authorities on getting people off drugs," Cruise said in a video about Scientology released online.
John Travolta hosted a fundraiser for Narconon's Hawaii location in 2007.

It has made strong inroads in Hollywood and counts Tom Cruise and John Travolta among its members. But many former adherents have denounced Scientology as a cult tightly controlled by its leaders for personal gain.

HOPKINS, Minn. – Mitt Romney tonight said that big businesses are “doing fine,” using similar language that the presumptive nominee has hammered President Obama for using to describe the private sector earlier this year.
“I’m going to champion small business. We’ve got to make it easier for small businesses. Big business is doing fine in many places – they get the loans they need, they can deal with all the regulation,” said Romney, speaking to a group of supporters at a private fundraiser in Minnesota this evening.

The upcoming Republican National Convention will transform the Tampa Bay area on an international level. Like no other, this event will showcase the area's communities as well as the Herculean task to provide security for citizens, delegates, visitors and everyone in between.
Federal, state and local law enforcement officers began planning for this event in June 2010. I am confident to tell the public that we are prepared to make it a successful RNC in Tampa. The challenges of preparing for and executing a security/safety plan for an event of this magnitude are daunting. There are many pieces of the puzzle, most known but some unknown. For me, staffing is the critical piece to making it all work. While the RNC is taking center stage and mandates a heavy commitment of Sheriff's personnel, plenty of deputies will still be available to answer calls for service throughout the county.

Police in Niagara region are grappling with allegations of steroid use and drug smuggling involving their own officers in the wake of an arrest of one constable by U.S. authorities in April.
As a solution to several requests, what follows is the note from the Love Quest, which is a Face Book event. These will continue until 8.27.2012.
I sort of planned to explore today what oneness isn’t. I think that it is easy to talk virtually about love and light and unity and then blame your boss or carry anger for what your ex-lover “did”. In perfect synchronicity, my everyday life has been swimming in duality. Actually, if it wasn’t for the Quest and all of you, I’d be drowning. This has turned out to be more than I bargained for! In no uncertain terms, I am dealing with duality.
These Quests began in the Spring of 2011 and were never intended to continue past the first one. It was suggested as a way to explore in “real time” with each other what it means to love yourself. I was a different woman then and walked around with a large wad of blame in my pocket. After the first Quest, we all wanted more and here we are today, with monthly journeys and no end in sight. The fact that Face Book shut down the first account hardly seems to matter. Love prevails!
But what is not love? It seems to be cropping up everywhere I look this week. The whole notion of “what you believe is what you create” makes little sense if you are thinking about illness and poverty and physical harm. Yet, the law of attraction exists.

The recognition of illusion is also its ending. ~*~ Its survival depends on your mistaking it for reality. In the seeing of who you are not, the reality of who you are emerges by itself.
