TOKYO — Japan reported its biggest half-year trade deficit ever as exports weakened and fuel imports soared to keep the power on while most reactors are idled in the aftermath of last year’s nuclear crisis.
The Ministry of Finance on Wednesday reported a 2.9 trillion yen ($37.4 billion) trade deficit for the first half ended June 30. The deficit was triple the size of the deficit reported for the same period last year. First half exports fell 2.5 percent from last year while imports surged 13.1 percent.
One of the main issues that humans will be dealing with in the coming months is the need to acknowledge, address, and release their shadow side. The shadow side is that aspect of self which is generally judged to be unacceptable by the family, religion, or culture in which one grows up. Actually, it is a very important part of human nature and is needed as a balance to the aspect that is deemed acceptable.

So long as you put your thoughts on the trouble you are in, you will be submerged in trouble. There are other things to think about besides what weighs heavily on you. When you think in other ways, trouble subsides. It subsides in your mind. Even if the trouble stays, it has subsided.
You are given situations in life that are difficult, even more serious than marital difficulties. Certainly, some life situations are more difficult than others, especially when seen from the world view. And even in what might be called the most difficult situations of all, others have been in the same situations, perhaps worse, and still find happiness. They give happiness. They don't content themselves with misery.

It is Reality, your eternal Home, which the illusion has kept shrouded in fog and hidden from you for far too long.

SEOUL, South Korea — President Lee Myung-bak apologized on Tuesday for a string of corruption scandals implicating his relatives and allies that have undermined his last year in office.
Mr. Lee’s nationally televised apology came two weeks after the arrest of his elder brother, Lee Sang-deuk, on bribery charges. Hours after the president bowed before television cameras on Tuesday, two of his former aides were arrested on bribery charges, joining a growing list of Mr. Lee’s acquaintances who have been jailed on suspicion of corruption.

In front of a Senate panel today, Sen. Bernie Sanders outed the 26 billionaires who are members of 23 billionaire families that are using Citizens United to buy elections. Sen. Sanders estimated that these 26 billionaires are the tip of the iceberg. “My guess is that number is really much greater because many of these contributions are made in secret. In other words, not content to own our economy, the 1 percent want to own our government as well.”

The midwest USA continues to have a record heatwave .. forecast temps of about 105F / 41C for the next several days..
Up north.. a low pressure system is fully developed ---- currently sitting with a center just northwest of Calgary Canada ... SNOW AND SLEET detected at higher elevations inside the center of this storm !
It looks like this system in Canada may pull east (slightly southeast).... already it has an arm which extends south through Montana and Wyoming... tapping into the "steam" to the southwest (which extends into mexico).
This canadian low pressure system , as it pulls eastward.. if it comes ANY further southeast... will pull this arm / line of storms over Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Montana... further eastward... and southeastward ... into the western midwest and northern states of the US...
In the south, there is a large buildup of tropical moisture which extends southeast of Hawaii back east across mexico and central america. This flow to the south may pull up over the gulf of mexico in the next few days. Will have to watch and see if this occurs.
The Northeast, and Southeast USA --- new england south through north and south carolina / into florida --- strong cell thunderstorms still persist, w/ hail and damaging winds.

Late Sunday the Beijing city government issued a statement saying that 25 people drowned, six were crushed in collapsed homes, one was hit by lightning and five were electrocuted by fallen power lines.
