info?

Jazz's picture

I noticed the site changed QUITE a BIT Lately. Where did all of the channelers and space info wind up? Looking for an update here. Seems the SPP Alliance is quite busy chasing down so called "war criminals big and small". Whatever happened to chasing down the bankers and thier like? Now its all about news from CHINA as if the new upcoming changes are all coming from there. Such an action would make any changes to a living minimum wage useless. Products are already emported en mass from China and they are making us sick. The shortcuts used to make these goods are poisoning us. This is NOT what we should be promoting. China does not have the stringent heath standards that the US has on goods. The US needs to become a producer of goods again. That is what will boost the economy and we are being undercut daily by low-income labor and CHEEP Chinese imported goods.

On Friday, Chinese state media reported that China Credit Trust Co. warned investors that they may not be repaid when one of its wealth management products matures on January 31, the first day of the Year of the Horse.

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China sold the China Credit Trust product to its customers in inland Shanxi province.  This bank, the world’s largest by assets, on Thursday suggested it will not compensate investors, stating in a phone interview with Reuters that “a situation completely does not exist in which ICBC will assume the main responsibility.”

China has struggled to keep genetically modified foods out of their country, rejecting and even incinerating US shipments of corn by the boatload this year. But some of the seeds may have made their way in regardless, and it’s these US-made seeds that are being blamed for crop failure in the large eastern country.

Police in the Hunan province have busted a seed smuggling case that may have contributed to the failure of 200 acres of corn in Tongdao last year. Called “US golden corn” by local officials, the seeds originate from giants like Monsanto and Syngenta.

mushroom reishi 263x164 Mushrooms of Immortality: Reishi Mushrooms an Ancient Medicine for Modern Diseases

In China, reishi mushrooms have earned the nickname, “The Mushrooms of Immortality,” and if their longstanding reputation is any indication, this nickname could be appropriate for a few different reasons. Some archaeological evidence points to reishi mushrooms having been used as far back as 7,000 years ago, and with good reason. The benefits of these mushrooms aren’t only applicable to diseases and conditions that existed thousands of years ago, but to those that plague mankind today as well.

The seeds of “US golden corn”, allegedly smuggled since 2003 from Hong Kong and Thailand, caused 200 acres of corn to fail last year in the Tongdao county of Huaihua according to local officials. The smuggled corn seeds were reported to be from Monsanto and Syngenta varieties. Police apprehended one of the main smugglers, Luo Haihong, who has allegedly imported over 500,000 tons of corn seeds since 2003, without permission.

We hate to put it unkindly, but China is not exactly known for its stellar food safety record. Yet, on Dec. 5 Chinese officials stunned the U.S. shellfish industry by banning imports of all wild and farmed bivalves from the coastline that stretches from Alaska to Northern California, after Chinese officials said they found high levels of inorganic arsenic and the toxin that produces paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP).

BEIJING -- The storm that devastated the Philippines has killed eight people in southern China and inflicted hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to farming and fishing industries, state media reported Tuesday.

Typhoon Haiyan, which slammed into the Philippines last Friday as one of the strongest storms ever to make landfall, already had weakened to a tropical storm by the time it crossed into southern China on Monday. But it still had gusts up to 100 kilometers per hour (60 miles per hour) and dropped up to 38 centimeters (15 inches) of rain over some parts of Guangxi province.
