There was evidence troops were involved in disappearance

Quetta: Pakistan's top judge on Friday ordered a paramilitary commander to produce 30 people in court, saying there was evidence troops were involved in their disappearance.

It is the latest effort from judges designed to bring powerful military and intelligence agencies to book over mass arrests of alleged terror suspects, who are never seen again.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry ordered Balochistan Frontier Corps commander Major-General Obaidullah Khattak to produce the missing before the court in the provincial capital Quetta on July 24.

BBC Horizon - We are the Aliens

Clouds of alien life forms are sweeping through outer space and infecting planets with life -- it may not be as far-fetched as it sounds.

The idea that life on Earth came from another planet has been around as a modern scientific theory since the 1960s when it was proposed by Fred Hoyle and Chandra Wickramasinghe. At the time they were ridiculed for their idea -- known as panspermia. But now, with growing evidence, it's back in vogue and even being studied by NASA.

We meet the scientists on a mission to get to the bottom of the beginnings of life on Earth - from the team in Texas who are lovingly building a robotic submarine called DEPTHX to explore a moon of Jupiter, to Southern India where they are investigating a mysterious red rain which fell for two months in 2001. According to local scientist Godfrey Louis, the rain contains biological cells unlike any he had seen before -- with no DNA and the ability to replicate at 300°C. Louis has come to the conclusion that the cells are extra-terrestrial in origin.

Could all this really be proof that We are the aliens?

The world’s most elite men will meet in secrecy for the annual Bohemian Grove gathering this week. And although the public won’t be allowed inside the elusive event, protesters will be on the other side of the fence as part of Occupy Bohemian Grove.

Demonstrators from around the world will descend on a plot of land around 70 miles north of San Francisco, California this week, but they won’t be granted access to see what actually happens between the members of one of Earth’s most unknown secret societies: Bohemian Grove. That shroud of secrecy that has surrounded the gathering since its start over a century ago — and what happens beneath it — is exactly why hundreds are expected to turn out in Monte Rio, California to protest the ongoing erosion of a democratic society.

Although Bohemian Grove has spawned demonstrations outside the property in the past, the spirit of the Occupy Wall Street movement will be represented this time around as protesters rally against the so-called one percent.

PARIS — France has issued an arrest warrant for the son of the president of Equatorial Guinea, a suspect in an investigation into the alleged misspending of public funds, a judicial official said Friday.

The warrant followed Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue’s failure to show up for questioning, and eventual preliminary charges, on Wednesday by investigative judges handling the probe, which targets the acquisition of properties in France by the leaders of Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and Republic of Congo, the official said.

News of the warrant, initially revealed by the daily Le Monde, came on the same day that UNESCO, the U.N. cultural arm, announced that it will go ahead with presenting a controversial $3 million research prize from Equatorial Guinea next week that pitted nations against each other at the institution dedicated to world harmony through education and culture.
