ENID, Oklahoma - Residents near Enid were rattled out of their beds twice early Monday morning when back-to-back earthquakes struck the area. A 2.9 magnitude quake struck about 11 miles northeast of Enid around 3:20 a.m. Less than an hour later, a stronger, 3.3 magnitude quake was centered 16 miles northeast of Enid, about 75 miles north of Oklahoma City.

As we begin this new month we also begin the second half of 2013. Rather than asking ‘What’s next’, a better question is ‘What’s left?’, as in what’s left to learn, understand, release, recalibrate, adjust and clear because it feels like that is all we have been doing since January and even long before that. Even with this month’s Mercury retrograde, we have some gentler times ahead of us as we move into this new period, but certain conditions apply. July is a fantastic month for clearing and preparing for new beginnings, (which may not arrive until September) that can be done any way you like, with grace and ease or with a healthy dose of chaos.

I will never under appreciate a full nights sleep again and this morning, I am giving such HUGE thanks for the 7 hours of sleep last night.  But I also have to say, I am grateful for this experience too.  There is something of value that happens when you are not running on an energy pack that you are used to, at least, there’s value when I am not complaining about feeling so tired and messing with our reading schedules!!

The following night was not so cloudy, and the feature was the asterism: Vega, Deneb, and Altair with Altair pointing towards my right.
