Internet libertarians calling for the equal treatment of all Internet data have camped out in front of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, D.C., saying they won’t quit their Occupy-style protest until the regulator stands up for Net neutrality.

About 15 people stood outside the FCC’s headquarters on Wednesday afternoon in a protest organized by the two groups, Fight for the Future and Popular Resistance. Five of the demonstrators said they were determined to set up camp overnight and stick around until May 15, when the commission is set to unveil proposed new Net neutrality rules — or perhaps longer, if the new rules don’t meet their expectations.

It may seem melodramatic to say that the future of the Internet in the United States was put in jeopardy earlier this year when a U.S. Appeals court killed net neutrality. Unfortunately, it is not melodramatic at all.

Net neutrality rules had been put in place to ensure that Internet service providers and other related entities treat all data as equal without giving preferential treatment to large companies that might otherwise be able to pay extra for faster connections.

Often what we see as out of place or unwanted, God sees as beautiful and good! Who or what is the weed in your life?

The weeds in my life are often people that press my ego’s buttons! They annoy me, insult me, or hurt me! I feel like they are ruining the beauty of my life’s lawn… I want to pluck them right out and toss them in a bag to the curb!

Yet… these weeds are often people God has placed in my path for a reason. He wants me to learn tolerance, forgiveness, humbleness and… to learn to see the lovability of others as He sees what’s lovable in me!

We encourage you to take time to clear your mind, meditate, pray and seek inside for answers. Often the responses are subtle: a fleeting thought, an intuition, a gut reaction or goose pimples. How do you know when it is us or your Higher Self making contact? First is the ability to trust your instincts. It is much easier to trust your instincts after you have relinquished your fears. At times you may get an intuition, but your fears create a gut reaction response that keeps you from following through with the intuition. This is an important reason why facing and walking through your fears is imperative. Once you have learned to walk with courage, your next task is to follow your intuition.

We find it interesting that humans seem to have slotted themselves into certain beliefs for different times of their lives. Fun is for when you are young. Adventure is for when you are single. You will start to live for yourself once your kids are grown. You have wisdom when you are mature. If you are lucky you will find peace before you transition. What limiting rules you have set for yourselves!

The mind holds our attention to the outer world.  Feelings are what reveal the true nature of ourselves and existence.

Only mind and ego creates separation.  There is no separation in life, or existence, and we discover this through our awareness and our feelings.

We investigate through thought images of the mind that stand outside the nature of reality and existence. In our feelings, through awareness, we discover the wholeness of existence and ourselves.

There is no division within our being, or existence.  Only mind creates division and imagination pollutes the purity of consciousness.

God said:

The word everyone is an apt expression to remind everyone of Oneness. We can say that I always address One. I am talking to the Oneness of the Universe.
 
When someone says, To Life, he is saying To One. There is no addition to Oneness. There is no math. One is One. One and One is not two. It is One. Within all the diversity in the world, there is Unity. One God, One Being, One Sharedness. You are the One of One. All is Oneness. All the rest is fantasy. Oneness is more powerful than millions. Of course, My children see many, yet that does not make many-ness true. Manifold is the world, yet Manifold is Oneness folded as it were.
 

Did that Really Happen? 

It’s no secret that when society, as a whole starts thinking outside the box, or starts to question what’s really happening on the planet it faces a fierce opposition. It’s also no secret that authority figures throughout history have ridiculed ideas that simply did not fit the frame. In our not so distant past, new ideas and understandings were harshly opposed by those in control. A great example is Galileo, who was convicted (and worked banned) from the public domain, and labelled as crazy. Scientists during this time were also sought after and killed. Have things really changed today? Is the pharmaceutical industry another means of condemning and altering those who think outside the box?

At the end of 2013, Uruguay became the first country in the world to fully legalize marijuana. VICE correspondent Krishna Andavolu heads over to Uruguay to check out how the country is adjusting to a legally regulated marijuana market.

Along the way, he meets up with Uruguay's president, José Mujica, to burn one down and talk about the president's goal of a chicken in every pot, a car in every garage, and six cannabis plants per household.

You might think this would be bigger news, but like most things that threaten the mainstream version of history, it's been almost entirely ignored. Just goes to show how little we really know about the past, from Archaeology News Network:

Back in 1993, in a Neolithic lakeshore settlement that occupied an artificial island near the modern village of Dispilio on Lake Kastoria in the Kastoria Prefecture, professor George Hourmouziadis and his team unearthed the Dispilio Tablet (also known as the Dispilio Scripture or the Dispilio Disk), a wooden tablet bearing inscribed markings (charagmata) that has been carbon 14-dated to about 7300 BP (5260 BC).

In February 2004, during the announcement of the Tablet’s discovery to the world, Hourmouziadis claimed that the text with the markings could not be easily publicized because it would ultimately change the current historical background concerning the origins of writing and articulate speech depicted with letters instead of ideograms within the borders of the ancient Greek world and by extension, the broader European one.

According to the Professor of Prehistoric Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the markings suggested that the current theory proposing that the ancient Greeks received their alphabet from the ancient civilizations of the Middle East (Babylonians, Sumerians and Phoenicians etc) fails to close the historic gap of some 4,000 years. This gap translates into the following facts: while ancient eastern civilizations would use ideograms to express themselves, the ancient Greeks were using syllables in a similar manner like we use today.

Fast-food workers are planning a global strike for better pay and working conditions, with actions set to take place in 150 U.S. cities and 32 other countries in a bid to exert pressure on multinational companies.

Strikes are planned for May 15 across five continents in countries including Morocco, Japan, India, Belgium, Germany, Brazil, Argentina and New Zealand, where workers will stage a protest at the McDonald’s headquarters in Auckland, according to a statement by activist group Fast Food Forward. Other strikes will target Burger King, Wendy’s and KFC.
