Wisdom comes from watchfulness; not by study but by awareness, not by concentration but by meditation. One has to be just open to this infinite splendor called life. One has to open to the earth and to the sky. One has to be open to everything, each and everything. Without judgement, one has to be open; then wisdom comes.

If you judge you prevent, if you choose you prevent, if you condemn you prevent, if you evaluate you prevent. The man who wants wisdom to shower on him remains just a pure witness. Thoughtless, he looks; he is just a mirror, he reflects. He does not conclude, he is not in a hurry. He never gathers knowledge; he goes on learning, he goes on learning, but never gathers knowledge.

The knowledgeable person lives in his memory, in the past. The wise man lives in the present, not in his memory but in his awareness this very moment.

China Orders Dalai Lama to Reincarnate

Chinese Communist Party leaders are deathly afraid that the Dalai Lama will not have an afterlife. Worried enough that this week, officials repeatedly warned that he must reincarnate, and on their terms.

Tensions over what will happen when the aging 14th Dalai Lama dies, and particularly over who decides who will succeed him as the most prominent leader in Tibetan Buddhism, have ignited at the annual gathering of China’s legislators in Beijing. Officials have amplified their argument that the Communist government is the proper guardian of the Dalai Lama’s succession through an intricate process of reincarnation that has involved lamas, or senior monks, visiting a sacred lake and divining dreams.

Party functionaries were incensed by the exiled Dalai Lama’s recent speculation that he might end his spiritual lineage and not reincarnate, confounding the Chinese government’s plans to engineer a succession that would produce a putative 15th Dalai Lama who accepts its presence and policies in Tibet. Their anger welled up on Wednesday, as it had a day earlier.

Remembering the Woman Responsible for Planting Over 40 Millions Trees

Until you dig a hole, you plant a tree, you water it and make it survive, you haven’t done a thing. You are just talking. -Wangari Maathai

Wangari Maathai might not be a household name to you, but she should be.

Over 30 years ago she started an organization in Africa, The Green Belt Movement, a tree-planting campaign intended to help combat deforestation and to give locals access to firewood for cooking and clean water. To date, the campaign is responsible for planting over 40 million trees.

Meditation For Beginners: 20 Practical Tips For Quieting The Mind

Source: www.themindunleashed.org | Original Post Date: February 14, 2014 –

Meditation is the art of focusing 100% of your attention in one area. The practice comes with a myriad of well-publicized health benefits including increased concentration, decreased anxiety, and a general feeling of happiness.

Although a great number of people try meditation at some point in their lives, a small percentage actually stick with it for the long-term. This is unfortunate, and a possible reason is that many beginners do not begin with a mindset needed to make the practice sustainable.

The purpose of this article is to provide 20 practical recommendations to help beginners get past the initial hurdles and integrate meditation over the long term:

8 Incredible Archaeological Finds That Probably Weren’t In Your History Textbooks

1. The unfinished obelisk.

For how long and complex human history is, it’s no big surprise to me that it would miss a few major places and events, right? Well we’ll help you fill in the gaps a bit.

This obelisk was recently found in Aswan, Egypt, and was ordered to be constructed by Hatshepsut in the mid 1500s BC. The obelisk was never finished, but if it had been, it would have been Egypt’s largest.

2. Yonaguni Monument.

It’s debated among experts whether or not this underwater monument off the coast of Japan was created naturally or by man...

Don’t Suppress Your Negativity – Explore It

By Wes Annac, The Culture of Awareness

I didn’t feel so great when I woke up yesterday. I felt tired, lazy, lethargic, and the last thing I wanted to do was write anything or post to the blog. When I explored why I felt this way, I realized that I still had some latent reservations about the role I’m playing in humanity’s awakening.

I convinced myself I didn’t want to spend so much time on the computer, which, as you can imagine, is a huge requirement when it comes to running a blog. After all, being on the computer is required to post, write articles, answer emails, or do pretty much anything else that reaches people.

I wanted to detach from the computer because I tend to feel like technology opposes the natural lifestyle I want to cultivate.

Intentional Manifesting, Authentic Choice and Truly Letting Go

Intentional Manifesting, Authentic Choice and Truly Letting Go

By Open

Zillions of words have been written on the subject of intention. I’m sure it goes without saying that we’d all like a successful and fulfilled life. But what is true intention and where does it come from? In ‘setting intention’, we need to be really clear it’s not coming from a subtle sense of lack. And in creating with the divine, we also need to be clear how that works exactly.

What, if anything, does the divine ‘want’?

I put it to you, that there is a way to totally surrender into the divine flow, and thereby lead a truly magical, blessed and abundant life. Providing that is, we make the one authentic choice open to us…

Courage: Five Ways to Reap Rewards from the Universe

Dandelion-Flower-Wallpaper

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” – Nelson Mandela

HONESTY

The first step on the path to reaping heavenly rewards from the universe is a rule so plated in gold and studded with diamonds that it seems to pass most of us by, or at least lay dormant until we’ve reached forty or retired and moved to the Mediterranean. The most important thing to do before you die, in fact something that we should do every single day of our lives.

Be true to ourselves.

Powerful solar flare measuring X2.1 erupts from Region 2297

A major solar flare measuring X2.1 (R3-Strong radio blackout) erupted from Region 2297 at 16:22 UTC on March 11, 2015. The event started at 16:11 and ended at 16:29 UTC.

This region has 'beta-gamma-delta' magnetic configuration and is capable of producing more strong eruptions on the Sun.

It already produced partially Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) over the last couple of days so it is possible that this eruption has an Earth-directed component if CME was produced. However, more details will be available after the analysis is complete. This page will be updated accordingly.
