Roswell witness Jesse Marcel Jr. passes at 76 (Video)

Jesse Marcel Jr. was the son of the U.S. Air Force intelligence officer who first examined the crash debris found by Mac Brazel near Roswell, New Mexico in early July of 1947. His father had told him about the event and had shown him and his mother some of the debris that was recovered. Marcel passed away in his home on Saturday, August 24, due to a suspected heart attack.

Marcel’s daughter, Denice, posted this message on her father’s Facebook account:

It is with a sad heart that I have to break this bad news to the world.

Top-secret national security documents leaked to the Guardian newspaper reveal that the United States government compensated the tech companies that signed on to participate in the controversial NSA spy program known as Prism.

The Guardian published on Friday new documentation attributed to former intelligence contractor Edward Snowden in which it’s suggested that the US National Security Agency spent millions of dollars making sure the biggest names on the Internet were kept compliant with an international surveillance program disclosed by the leaker earlier this year.

The latest documents leaked by the US National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden has revealed that the UK is running a secret spying center in the Middle East.
 
Multiple sources, including the paper’s editor Alan Rusbridger, said Heywood had been tasked by the British PM to warn The Guardian to either “hand over the documents or destroy them if it did not want to face legal action”.

A controversial figure even in the UFO community, Lazar claimed that as a government scientist he was taken to Area 51 near Groom Lake and then put to work at a facility called S4 about 15 miles south.

By his account, flying discs powered by anti-matter reactors with seats too small for humans were being tested at S4 — reverse-engineered by the U.S. to create its own futuristic technology.

Dozens of publicly traded companies, including high-profile companies such as Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT) and Facebook (FB), were showing their shares halted. The Nasdaq status message was time stamped at 12:14:03 ET. As of 2:10, the exchange was still down.
