Tomato Juice as Protection Against Breast Cancer

Michael Brown's picture

Recent studies have found that a glass of tomato juice protects against breast cancer. Tomato juice helps produce a hormone which is thought to protect our body from these kinds of diseases.

Women should drink tomato juice daily. Just one glass of this juice contains sufficient amount of lycopene, a substance which is believed to protect against breast cancer. This hormone is involved in regulating the blood fat levels even above the normal weight, which in turn increase the risk of cancer.

Sea cucumber extract kills 95 percent of breast cancer cells and shrinks lung tumors

A new study has shown that sea cucumber extract kills up to 95 percent of breast cancer cells, 90 percent of melanoma cells, 95 percent of liver cancer cells and 88 percent of lung cancer cells in vitro. The extract also stimulates the immune system against cancer and impedes key processes required for metastasis. While the science behind this is very new to Western medicine, the sea cucumber has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries.

In previous studies, extracts of sea cucumber have demonstrated potent cytotoxicity against pancreatic, lung, prostate, colon, breast, skin and liver cancer cells as well as leukemia and gioblastoma. Researchers have identified a key compound responsible for sea cucumber's anti-cancer properties: a triterpenoid known as frondoside A.

blood pressures 263x166 Study Finds a Link Between Blood Pressure Drugs and Increased Breast Cancer Risk

Nearly one-third (32.7%) of American women have high blood pressure, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. While many individuals with high blood pressure change their diet and increase activity levels to keep blood pressure under control, others are content to rely wholly on the chemical concoction prescribed by their doctor. There are many problems with blood pressure medications though—one of which is a significant increase in the risk of breast cancer for women.

According to a recent study published in the journal Internal Medicine, women taking calcium channel blockers like nicardipine (Cardene) and amlodipine (Norvasc) have about a 250 percent greater risk of developing some types of breast cancer than other women.
