A UFO video which caused a sensation online in 2009 has been enhanced and analyzed by a new researcher with updated video tools. It still doesn't answer the question: what is it?

The video shows a brightly flashing object which seems to be dripping plasma and shooting out streaks of light as a group of witnesses comment on the sighting, clearly unable to believe their eyes.

This new version is commented on by a YouTube researcher who zooms in on the shaky images and enhances them with stability software and some really high-tech effects. The new version is just as perplexing as the original, but the higher quality does seem to rule out any hoaxing.

A retired USAF intelligence officer admits using any means at his disposal to debunk all UFO sightings reported during his long career, even unexplained sightings.

The officer, Lt. Colonel Dick French, says he is stepping forward now because he's no longer afraid of negative repercussions and because he believes the story will come out anyway.

According to French, the rules against advocating for the possibility of extraterrestrial visits have lessened and too many people now believe in the possibility that life exists elsewhere in the universe and that visitors may have already appeared over the skies of Earth.

Famed theoretical physicist and UFO enthusiast Michio Kaku told CNN on Thursday he believes if Earthlings ever battle unfriendly aliens "it would be like Bambi meeting Godzilla."

The comments came in a live interview for the program CNN Newsroom in response to the questions about the existence of extraterrestrial life and what may be behind the explosion of unidentified flying object sightings around the world.

Kaku, a respected scientist, is never afraid of speaking his mind and clearly believes there's more to the story than secret aircraft, swamp gas or misidentified heavenly bodies.
