Sorry for the doom and gloom, but it really isn’t. When is the beginning of the end of a prison a bad thing when the good guys are on the inside and the guardsmen are bankers?
 
When I say ‘It’, I don’t just mean a snivvly little recession, or even a depression, I mean the whole system of fiat currency and debt financing. As a recap, fiat currency is not backed by anything, so its value is only what people trust it is worth. Now that people are realising that our money is NOT backed by gold or metals or anything, and that even making money out of thin air won’t solve the problems, our trust in the very paper money causing the problems is, well, nil. When I say ‘debt financing’, I mean that everything is based on debt. This starts with the central banks, which lend money to governments and populations at interest, which requires more money to be printed to pay off the original currency issue, and so on and so on.

US Senator Bernard Sanders gave an impassioned plea this week in which he stated clearly why the American people are angry.

As he defended the poor teachers, firefighters, construction workers and others who now find themselves without jobs and mired in debt, he savaged “the greed, recklessness and illegal behavior of the people on Wall Street” for causing it all.

He also demanded the removal of “the handful of billionaires who control the nation’s economic and political life”.

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii - About 25,000 sailors and other military personnel from 22 nations are converging on Hawaii in the world's largest naval exercises to practice hunting for submarines and catching pirates.

The U.S. Pacific Fleet is hosting the Rim of the Pacific exercises, which started Friday. The exercises take place every two years in Hawaii and surrounding waters.

Countries from Japan to Tonga and Russia to Chile are sending 42 surface ships, six submarines and 200 aircraft to participate in the series of drills, which takes place over the next five weeks.

Participants will train to clear mines, dispose of explosives and go to the aid of civilians in natural disasters, among other drills.

Adm. Cecil Haney, Pacific Fleet commander, said the drills help different nations prepare for emergencies.

Marines and New Zealand Army soldiers, also known as Kiwis, sit in a circle on worn-out couches, chairs and benches as they wait for their next scenario in their counter insurgency exercise at Range 220A, June 20. The Marines and Kiwis made strong bonds during their down time as they found out just how much they had in common.

 

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. — A tarp hung over an alleyway, connecting the empty buildings of the Combined Arms Military Operations on Urban Terrain town at Range 220A. Below the tarp, a group of Marines and New Zealand Army soldiers sat around on worn out chairs and benches talking and joking.

The Marines wore their desert utilities while the New Zealanders, commonly referred to as “Kiwis,” wore their own tri-color green camouflage uniforms. If you ignored the variations in their accents, you would have never thought they were from opposite ends of the world.

“When you look at a United States Marine and a Kiwi soldier, you see very little difference,” said New Zealand Army Major Chris Rothery, officer commanding, 2nd Field Squadron, 2nd Engineer Regiment, New Zealand Army.
