Machu Pichu captured in Gigapan: Breathtaking HD panoramic view takes you there

Madame Butterfly's picture

A stunning image of the mystical Machu Picchu, composed of nearly two thousand different shots taken over a period of 1.5 hours has been compiled to give an incredible sense of 'being there' for those of you who have always wanted to go but have never quite made it.

The picture, which was taken in 'Gigapan' by photographer Jeff Cramer, was taken at the end of the dry season “just before the clouds rolled in.”

Drumbeats of change: Idle No More fires up Canada as movement spreads like wildfire

Madame Butterfly's picture

Canadians from coast to coast have donned their battle toques, grabbed their drumsticks and taken to the streets to stand beside their First Nations brethren in what is becoming a sweeping social movement that has started a fire in the hearts (and under the butts) of this normally passive and easygoing nation.

As the populace of Canada has slowly begun to awaken in horror to the bizarre, irresponsible and dangerous policies of creepily narcissistic Prime Minister Stephen Harper, most Canadians looked askance to each other in terms of how to fight this avalanche of bad news.

From omnibus bills of gargantuan length and size aimed at sweeping in massive, undisputed reforms that serve only the greed of oil companies, to the dismantling of Canada's once internationally acclaimed scientific outposts and firing of its world-class scientists, the people of Canada have stood and watched with their mouths literally hanging open in shock for long enough.

Occupy relief activists emerge as reluctant heroes in Sandy aftermath: They boldly go where no FEMA personnel dare going

Madame Butterfly's picture

All those nights camping in Zucotti Park appear to have paid off - bigtime - for Occupy activists who are possibly not only the most well prepared, but also the most well-fed and cheerful New Yorkers in town following the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

In a press release as of November 1, MoRUS shared "The Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (MoRUS) is using one of its exhibits to provide the community with free cell phone charging. Working with environmental group Times Up, MoRUS has set up Occupy Wall Street bike generators on Avenue C between 9th and 10th Street. For the past two days, volunteer riders have been pedaling as crowds of people gather to charge up their cell phones.

For many people, this has been the first time they've been able to contact loved ones after Hurricane Sandy hit earlier this week. Meanwhile, C-Squat, the squat which houses MoRUS, has set up a street-side barbecue. They have been accepting donations and providing the community with free food."

Chain of Daisies - A Faerie Song

Madame Butterfly's picture

Just a little something to make you smile from the fairies and me...This is a song I wrote about the fairies calling us to the woods at night to join in their fairy circle dance - inspired by my favourite Shakespeare play A Midsummer Night's Dream we recorded the song in my garage in 2003 with Billy Olster from the Canadian band Frozen Ghost doing all the amazing guitar and musical arrangement.

That is me singing lead and daughter Emily was only 8 singing those sweet fairy vocal backups.

We later used the song for the ballroom scene in a Pantomine version of Cinderella and have included a short clip with the link.

To hear the full version click on the bottom link and it will automatically play for you on the website for The Backyard Drama Club.

Enjoy! ...Oh yes and the fairies have a message - they want to remind us to dance in the moonlight more often!!!

ET mummy found in Egypt: Photo leaked by Cairo museum insider

Madame Butterfly's picture

The rumors have been whispered for years that the mummy of an extraterrestrial had been found in Egypt, nestled in a burial chamber beside a great Pharoh. Now, more evidence of the mummy's possible existence have been reported on Facebook, along with this compelling photo.

I have included the accompanying text exactly as it was translated from Egyptian. I have not edited the text, nor changed a word, as it has a ring of truth to it just "as is." You be the judge. Is this an elaborate hoax? Or is it possible that there were visitors to Earth that could have shaped the Egyptian culture, even played a part in it? Did this race of ET visitors build the pyramids - a feat we cannot recreate to this day?

The description of the photo, leaked by an anonymous source at the Egyptian Anitiquities Department, reads:

Incredible NASA footage of UFOs: 'Join us and live in peace'?

Madame Butterfly's picture

NASA cameras have captured hundreds of unexplained images as well as compelling film footage of UFOs above the Earth. These images of swift moving objects, hovering orbs and even a space battle, are proof of the existence of ET visitors to Earth, claim UFO enthusiasts .

NASA's official stance on the incident, however is that these objects are merely dust floating around in space. The speculation continues to fly regarding these fascinating videos, many of which were captured by the International Space Station and NASA satellites orbiting Earth.

A stunning video, just released by YouTube user StephenHannardADGUK, puts many of these now famous sightings together with an eerie but dramatic soundtrack:

Did anyone else feel that shift just now? Incredible energy today!

Madame Butterfly's picture

I just had to write this to let you know what amazing energies are coming in right now - two incredibly wonderful things just happened to people I know - and I just felt a shift in the grid - did anyone else feel that in the last hour?

After a day of rain yesterday, the morning has slowly gone from hazy to sunny, and outside my porch door the birds are actually calling to me to come to the garden.  All the flowers are bursting with colour and blooms and dewdrops are glistening in the sunlight.

But it is the news that is coming in from people that is astounding - huge relief after worry and strife.  Has a cloud larger than these rainclouds just been lifted?

It sure feels that way!

oh and it's 11:11 a.m. right now as I go to hit save!  wow!

more love and light!

Antarctica pyramids: 'Legends of Atlantis, lost books and starships'

Madame Butterfly's picture

Pyramids have been discovered in the Antarctic, according to a news article on Scienceray.com. A team of 8 explorers from America and Europe claim to have found evidence of three man made pyramids 'peaking' through the melting ice, states the author:

"Can it be possible that Antarctica was once warm enough in the recent past to actually have had an ancient civilization living there? And even more perplexing is the question of if an advanced culture did develop there, are there any structures still remaining that are buried underneath the ice? Amazingly a team of researchers is making the claim that they have found evidence of several ancient pyramids on the ice covered continent of Antarctica.

So far, the team has not released much information on their discovery although a few pictures have been leaked on the internet recently. I will let you be the judge on if these pictures truly display artificial pyramids or just the rocky tops of mountains but the images are intriguing and definitely warrant further research in my opinion. Three of the images are shown below.

Triangle UFOs over British skies 'pose no threat,' states minister, but sightings continue to skyrocket

Madame Butterfly's picture

A stunning UFO sighting was captured in the skies over England by passers-by walking on the banks of the River Thames, as published by silverstreemz on You Tube.

The video, although short, clearly shows three lights in the sky which form a triangle.

The lights then zoom towards each other, where they meet in the center.

The lights then appear to become one object, followed by a bright flash, and the light zooms off away from the cameraman.

Here is the video description:

Filmed from across the River Thames as the sun was setting, there is more footage of the sky that evening above the power station and the lights that appeared , you will see look out on YT"

'Under the Blue Moon, In the night garden' (a poem)

Madame Butterfly's picture

We sat under the blue moon,

In the night garden.

A breeze as soft as the lake water

Stroked us like silk,

Soft as the wings of a fairy,

Sweet as the breath of an angel,

And the moonlight washed away our sorrows,

Chased away our fears,

Bathed away the pain of the past,

Whilst we talked of many things...
