21 Home Remedies for Migraines and Headaches by Elizabeth Walling

Andrea Green's picture

What is it with headaches? While I’m no martyr, I have a reasonable threshold for pain–except when it comes to headaches. That nagging pain just seems to pierce right through my defenses, and frankly turns me into one heck of a grouch. And don’t even ask what I turn into when a bonafide migraine sets in. Trust me, you don’t want to know.

I used to get headaches all the time. Between me and my husband, it wasn’t uncommon for us to go through a bottle or two of ibuprofen in a given month. Fortunately, changing our diet and lifestyle has taken care of most of those pesky head pains. But the problem is, we still reach for the ibuprofen when we get hit with the occasional headache (even though we probably only go through a bottle once or twice a year now). I don’t really like using medication if I don’t have to, but where do I find an effective natural remedy for headaches and migraines?

Eating raw garlic twice a week reduces cancer risk by 44 percent! by Marco Torres

Andrea Green's picture

elephant Garlic = great-headed Garlic = Oriental Garlic Notes: This looks like an overgrown...That’s a statistic the cancer industry cannot claim because almost 40% of cancer patients die within five years and more than 80% die within twelve years either of the cancer or the treatment that was administered for the cancer. Eating garlic twice a week will never kill you and it reduces cancer risk without any side effects whatsoever.

The reason so many people die with conventional cancer treatment is that while damaging healthy cells, chemotherapy actually promotes certain cancer and also triggers them to secrete a protein that sustains tumour growth and resistance to further treatment.

Pomegranates Reverse Damage from Junk Food, Boost Heart Health

Eddie1177's picture

With chambers and blood-red insides, the physical appearance of pomegranates isn’t the only thing that ties them to the human heart. Research indicates these in-season delights are a heart-protective food that could even undo the bodily damage caused by junk food.

Researchers from Spain tested a new supplement on pigs. The supplement was made with polyphenols found in pomegranates – antioxidant compounds which are credited with numerous health benefits including heart protection.

The researchers first fed the pigs—whose cardiovascular systems are similar to ours—a diet of fatty, damaging foods. Unsurprisingly, this diet damaged the lining of their blood vessels. Damage to this lining, the endothelium, is often the first step in atherosclerosis, or the hardening of the arteries which leads to heart attacks and strokes.

This fatty diet left the pigs with less elastic vessels and caused them to produce less nitric acid, a gas that keeps vessels healthy in animals and humans alike. These changes are similar to the ones experienced in people who eat an unhealthy diet.

Beat cancer with 35% hydrogen peroxide by: S. D. Wells

cancer(NaturalNews) Cancer is dangerous. Don't flirt with disaster. Don't eat it and don't go near it. Don't drink it. Don't put it on your skin. Yes, this is a warning not to put cancer on or inside your body. Cancer is in GMO pesticide DNA seed designs and the treatments used on vegetables and fruit. Cancer is in sun block lotions full of toxins that hold in your sweat and block out the vitamin D you would normally get from the sun. Cancer is in cosmetics, makeup, soaps, toothpaste and shampoos. Cancer may be lurking in your refrigerator, your pantry and in your medicine cabinet, but it has an archenemy. Cancer has a rival that destroys it like an M-60 leveling a field of enemy soldiers. It's called "hydrogen peroxide," and the "lame-stream," mainstream media will tell you how "dangerous" it is at 35%, but they won't tell you that you can drip a couple drops in a glass of water each day and end cancer. Yes, it's true.

20 Medical Studies That Prove Cannabis Can Cure Cancer

cannabis

Cannabis has been making a lot of noise lately. Multiple states across the United States and countries around the world have successfully legalized medical Marijuana, and the Uruguay parliament recently voted to create the world’s first legal marijuana market. This is good news as the health benefits of Cannabis are vast, with multiple medical and scientific studies that confirm them. On the other hand, arguments against the use of marijuana is usually published in Psychiatric journals, which show no scientific evidence that Cannabis is harmful to human health. All psychological evaluations from the intake of cannabis are largely based on assumptions, suggestions and observations (1). When we look at the actual science behind Cannabis, the health benefits can be overwhelming. So what does one who opposes the use of cannabis base their belief on? Nothing, not scientific evidence anyways. The negative stigmatism attached to marijuana is due to it’s supposed psychotropic effects, yet again, there is no scientific evidence to show that marijuana has any psychotropic effects. Nonetheless, cannabis has recently been the focus of medical research and considered as a potential therapeutic treatment and cure for cancer.

Ayahuasca, Alternative Medicine and the Amazon Rainforest

We are beginning to understand why ayahuasca — yagé or “Grandmother Medicine” (a modern name that indicates respect) — is considered to be an entheogen, a substance that “reveals inner divinity.” This differs greatly from a hallucinogen or a psychedelic, in that visions and experiences under the influence of ayahuasca (as well as other known entheogens used in ceremonial context) can provide deep and meaningful — oftentimes uninhibited — insights into the nature of life, illness, and well-being, including revelations about the very fabric of existence itself. Experiences are seen and felt as “real,” as opposed to flat-out hallucinations, which ultimately are of little or no consequence, as they are mere mental stimulation, no matter how amusing. It is as if upon drinking the medicine a window to other worlds is opened to realities that exist right here and now, closely alongside our own. Boundaries and egos crumble. It is without doubt a shift of viewpoint, an extension of experience beyond ordinary consciousness. Nonetheless, regardless of how “real” the experience may be, or how accurate a reflection it allows of both outer and inner “reality,” there still exists the great risk of misinterpreting these “otherworldly” experiences and how they might relate to one’s life in the everyday world.
