Take a breath and enjoy the uniqueness of that instant without having to worry about reaching for a camera or a cell phone to take video or a picture as the instant We reach for them We cease to exist in the flow of that moment captured by the soul.

As you have all been made aware of by now, much is going on behind the scenes that few of you have any detailed knowledge of. We know that this is enough to set many’s teeth on edge, but let us just say that all is in good hands, and the reason for this imposed silence as it were is simply this: you will not be exposed to anything that might be detrimental to you in any way, and that does include some of the information that is currently flashing by you at warp speed. This will sound ominous, but this is in fact merely a precaution on our side. You see, you are still under the deep influence of your human side, and as such, much of what is actually going on now might be hard to perceive, much less in a positive way, by you all.

If you are not yet able to love everyone as you would like to, then can you be without a sense of having to get back at a seeming other or showing him what’s what or teaching him a lesson or sticking up for yourself or asserting your rights in some way?
 
What you can really give up is your sense of being wronged. When you can give up your sense of having been wronged, attacked, or defied in some way, much tension leaves. Then you no longer see the seeming other as an opponent, and you can then come to a certain relaxation that can even be called peace. I think you can come to this. Truly, in the depth of your heart, with this simple thought that the seeming other is not out to get you, even your thoughts of negativity toward him go away. Rather than fight another, even internally, really and truly, you can let go of your resentment and be a friendly bystander or even friend, who wishes seeming others well. I know you would rather life be like this.

The Void!!  That place of feeling completely disconnected from your own inner spiritual resources.  I landed in this place Saturday and it seemed to deepen with each coming day.  But if that place isn’t bleak enough, someone took my internal battery and just drained all the juice too.  I suppose it does make you too tired to care.  I suppose I should have known this place was around my corner when the last two sharings I put out were so… cumulative, kind of like one of those final exam essays you need to write about all you learned in class the past year.

Wow, the energy was powerfully palpable at the satsang this night! We've never had so many technology anomalies while producing a video. We only adjusted the overall brightness of the video because the room was so dark and there was limited light. It's interesting how often the lighting, color, and contrast all fluctuate during this hour. And, for those of you who are used to watching our videos, coming to the retreats, or listening to our radio show -- you will surely also notice the distinctive changes of quality in Matt's voice that you don't usually hear.

A submarine eruption at Mount Hobal, underwater flank of Iliwerung volcano, Indonesia, has occurred on August 19/20, 2013. VSI raised the alert level of Iliwerung volcano from 1 (normal) to 2 (watch) following increased seismic and visual activity from Hobal.

Iliwerung volcano forms a peninsula on the south coast of Lembata island, formerly Lomblen. Mount Hobal (Gunung Hobal) is located about 800 m from the coast.
