As we approach the end of the year, it is time to welcome the annual Leonid meteor shower. This shower is associated with the comet Tempel-Tuttle and is considered to be one of the most beautiful meteor showers in existence. 

This year, the Leonid meteor shower is expected to peak on the early mornings of November 17 and 18, 2015. Also, this year's avatar is expected to be a simple shower and not a meteor storm. 

Like most other meteor showers, the Leonid shower is named after its radiant point, the point from where the shower seems to originate in the night sky. In this case, the radiant point is the constellation Leo, hence the name. The Leonid shower occurs when Earth moves through the debris field of the comet Tempel-Tuttle and the small pieces of debris burn up in our atmosphere creating the meteor shower.

Five years ago, if someone were to mention the use of oregano essential oil for health and wellness purposes I would have looked at them cross-eyed. Although well versed in the benefits of essential oils, for one reason or another, oregano essential oil was nowhere to be found on my radar. Although I grow oregano in my yard and use it in pasta dishes and on pizza, I had never considered it to have healing qualities.

Moving forward in time, as I began to toss out conventional over-the-counter remedies, I discovered that Oregano essential oil has some amazing qualities. Not only that, it is inexpensive and can be effectively used in so many ways that like lavender, it should be called the Swiss army knife of essential oils.

Human emotion isn’t as complex as we like to believe. When someone hurts us, we want revenge. We feel anger and hatred. We want to make those who have humiliated and scorned us suffer. We might think we’re over all that. We might, as individuals, make a conscious decision to avoid conflict in our lives, we might try (at least) to forgive, to take the moral high ground by not fighting fire with fire. Everyone knows an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, right?

But when the suffering is not ours alone, but a shared trauma– one that bonds us with other human beings we’ve never even met- all of these wise and compassionate ideas are tossed aside. On Friday, Paris was subjected to another barbaric terrorist attack, the second in less than a year. Apparently, ISIS claimed responsibility for the brutal murder of 120 innocent people, although as usual no evidence for this has been offered to the public.

As I write, French jets are attacking the city of Raqqah. They have dropped at least 20 bombs so far, and no doubt many more will be launched before the night is through. “We are going to lead a war which will be pitiless,” French President Francois Hollande has promised. But let’s take a step back from the strong emotions that terrorist attacks inevitably cause. Is all-out war really the only reaction? Is it the moral reaction? Is it a reaction which will lead to a more peaceful world? Surely not, since Islamic extremists claim to be conducting their own revenge attack for French involvement in the bombing of Syria.

Dear Ones, we cannot stress this enough. It is wonderful for you to seek – to consult with psychics and channels, to read or listen to information in a desire to have guidance on your path. We love that you are growing and evolving and educating yourselves! Your desire for knowledge is a big part of your evolution process and we commend you it.

Where your search for knowledge becomes problematic is when it creates confusion in you. If you are getting a lot of information from different sources that is conflicting, it can be difficult to know how to proceed.

Hear us when we say you are always the expert on you. Take what resonates, what feels good to you, and leave the rest behind! It is through listening to your innate wisdom, the part of you that knows your truth and is your inner GPS, that you will find the perfect experiences for you. To blindly listen to the advice of another is to give your power away. To allow your own knowingness to lead is to step into your authentic power.

We understand you are cautious because you do not wish to make mistakes. Dear Ones, there are no mistakes, only experiences! If you try something and it is not a match to who you really are, you will know very quickly, then you can simply try something else. That is how you grow and evolve, and that is a glorious part of being in the body – being in the realm of experience.
