In meditation you become simple: the future is your concern no more. That's what meditation is all about: dropping the concern with past and future, being herenow. Only this moment exists. And whenever it happens, whenever only this moment exists - watching a sunrise, or looking at a white cloud floating in the sky, or just being with a tree, silently communing, or observing a bird on the wing - whenever you forget all about past and future and the present moment takes possession of you, when you are utterly possessed by this moment, you will feel rejuvenated. Why? The split disappears, the split created by the ideals. You are one in that moment, integrated; you are all together.

Oregon Is Celebrating Marijuana Legalization With Free Weed

Not only are people free to smoke weed—the weed is free.

As of July 1, new Oregon laws go into effect making it legal for adults ages 21 and up to possess and use recreational marijuana. It’s legal to grow marijuana in the state—up to four plants per residence, out of public view—and share it with other of-age adults too.

Applications for large-scale growers and retailers aren’t being accepted until early 2016, and no Oregon stores are expected to have marijuana for sale until the fall of 2016. For the time being, then, while recreational marijuana use is legal, people aren’t allowed to buy or sell it.

This Is What The Sacred Chant “Om” Looks Like Geometrically

What does the word “love” look like? What does the sound of birds chirping look like?  How about the sound of running water? Believe it or not, but every single sound has an actual physical structure to it that can be made visible very easily.  The ancients knew this, which is why the revered chanting and mantras so highly.  We will look at that last point more deeply in a little bit.  But first, let’s look at the science of visible sound.

The science of visible sound

Cymatics is the scientific study of visible sound waves.  Contrary to our experience of sound as a audible frequency, all sound literally has a geometric formation to it.  You can easily see the visible geometrical vibrations of any given sound by placing sand or coated particles on to a metal plate called a tonoscope.  When you put these coated particles on to this metal plate and then play a frequency into the metal plate, the particles arrange themselves according to the geometric structure of that sound.

Why Do We Question the Existence of God? We ARE God

Written by Mario A. Max

It seems that many people struggle with their faith, their belief systems and religions. This trouble persists because many of us have only half-realized beliefs and have been taught to never question these beliefs or ask why they are so.

These beliefs have been handed down through dogma and tradition. These beliefs taught us to never question and to accept with blind fanaticism.

To question these beliefs was to have doubt and to doubt these beliefs was to fail in our faith and trust in God.

We were taught that through doubting and questioning we would invite evil into our lives. Why were we taught to never search beyond the superficial beliefs forced upon us as children and to not use our natural sense of wonder to find the truth for ourselves?

How to Stop Worrying About the Future (So You Can Be Present and Peaceful in the Moment)

HJ: Love is not the opposite of fear—trust is.  Worry and anxiety and fear all beget a lack of trust.  First you must understand that you create your reality.  Then you must understand that so long as you do the inner healing work and follow your bliss, you can do no wrong and you will always be supported.  This allows you to begin to trust life fully and in the process worry and fear and anxiety begin to dissipate.  And to speed that process along, the venerably wise Manal Ghosain shares her insights and techniques for permanently handling worry.  Beautiful.

Contrast Helps You to Focus

From Open Diary by Kris

I believe we all have our good days and our bad days. Days were you feel everything is working for you and days were you kind of lose your hope. Yesterday was one of those bad days for me. Not that I lost my hope, but ... ok actually I did just that, at least that is how it felt.

But on the inside I knew there is something to it. Everything has a reason for me. As one of my favourite inspirational teacher's says: "Contrast helps you to focus." Contrast, meaning, those so called bad days, and actually calling them bad wouldn't be the right term at all, are in your life to help you. I know that sounds crazy. You probably wonder how can something bad happening, can be to my benefit? It is all about the shift in perception. Another good term to describe that would be the famous silver lining. We are so practised to go towards what feels good, and push away from what feels uncomfortable, but have you ever stopped and thought if those uncomfortable, sad feeling are there for a reason? have you ever considered that they are there to help you see something more clearly and get more focused on what you want? Probably not, but..

3 Ways to Drop the Mask for Good

“We all wear masks, and the time comes when we cannot remove them without removing some of our own skin.” ~ André Berthiaume

The subject of self is expansive to say the least. Will anyone ever get to know who we really are? Do we even know? Is the self entirely an illusion, or are we made up of a multitude of egotistical masks and archetypal projections that are layered upon each other as a reflection of the many lives we’ve lived and people we’ve been?

Or perhaps we’re all an expression of the Source yet also in essence of all other expressions of the Source, all experiencing each other simultaneously… as the lines of our separateness continue to blur, the collective consciousness can be the only thing to lay claim and ownership over who we really are…

The US Sent This Highly Controversial Bill To The White House While We Celebrated The Legalization Of Same Sex Marriage

I could not be happier that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage nationwide this past Friday, but I’m sitting here wondering: what do we have to give up as we win this victory?

Let’s think about this scenario right now.

It’s 2015, the legalization of same-sex marriage should have happened many years ago. It’s what the majority of citizens want and the government has been working on getting it passed in all states. Why is it that this happened on Friday, and so suddenly? Could it be to distract us from something else?

Don’t get me wrong, I danced, I cheered and I celebrated all day at this victory. Please do not confuse this article to mean that I am not incredibly happy about the legalization of same-sex marriage, because I am. But I am also wondering if anything else is happening, below the surface.

What if this is yet another way for those in power to keep us ignorant and uninvolved?

This much is clear: there’s more going on behind the scenes than what is immediately apparent. Perhaps, amongst our celebration, something bigger is going down.

We have a sensationalist culture: We adore the obscene. We gawk at visuals. We’re addicted to visceral reactions. We love the next news story; the triumph, the drama, and even the despair.

World stock markets tumble as new phase of Greece debt crisis begins

World stock markets have tumbled on Monday, June 29, 2015 after Greece failed to reach a deal with its foreign creditors over the weekend and imposed new strict measures to deal with their debt crisis.

Just before 01:00 UTC on June 29, Greek government closed all country's banks and capped daily ATM withdrawals at 60 Euros.

The move was preceded by the announcement of a July 5 referendum on austerity measures demanded by their creditors.

The government said all banks will remain closed until after the referendum and assured they will reopen them on Tuesday, July 7.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras appealed for calm, insisting that Greeks’ savings and pensions are safe.

European shares took a hammering in early deals on Monday, with Southern European banks especially badly hit, Reuters reported.

So, What’s Really Happening Now?

Zen Gardner, Guest
Waking Times

There’s been something of a lull in truly major developments of late, despite all the garish noise and typical bravado of global figureheads and their complicit media and a few events here and there. Sure, there are skirmishes worldwide and economies continue to crumble as governments continue their draconian crackdowns, but the urgency of many regarding our ongoing situation is apparently suspended in some sort of strange holding pattern.

While it’s encouraging that the awakening is keeping TPTB’s machinations at bay and forcing them to change directions and tactics, I find it nonetheless a bit foreboding.  It’s clearly not a time to let our guards down.

The indicators that this September and October hold some interesting confluences is nothing to ignore. The signs are very clear and it’s obvious they’re up to no good.
