The state of absolute ‘stillness’ known as ‘Shunyata’ in Buddhism is where you are devoid of any thoughts, simply ‘empty’ like a glass without water, no movement, no ripples, no waves. This state of non-duality is also the root of the Hawaiian art of healing, Ho’oponopono.

Simply put, Ho’oponopono means,‘to make right,’ or ‘to rectify an error.’ Based on the principle of love, gratitude and forgiveness, this ancient practice talks about the ability to take responsibility of not only our own action, but also the action of others.

This Heavenletter does not apply to everyone. Nor does it apply only to others and not to you. It is for some. Perhaps many.

Now that you are grown up, no longer make a fuss when you don’t get your own way. Your own way is not due you across the board.

It is right and natural for a baby to kick and scream, but not you. Nor do you walk away in a huff. You may think you have to defend your rights, and so you may offer ultimatums. This does not make you big, for you are not thinking big. You are thinking small. If you have to be catered to, you are thinking small.

I have to suggest to those of you who are My dramatic children, if you must have drama and make ordinary life huge, then go on the stage! You will have a good career there. You can stomp your foot. You can kick up a storm. You can put everyone else in their place, that is, the place you assign to them. You may feel you are ruling the world.

If you feel this way, you are not ruling the world. You are not even ruling yourself. Whatever the debate is about, it was never about you.

Your honor is not at stake. Your pride is at stake. Ego is at stake. You want to win. You will even bully in order to win. No one wins a prize for being rude or unkind. Certainly, there is not a contest going on as to who has the greatest arrogance.

Know this: You are already important to the world. You are affecting the world right now. Of course, right now you may be limiting the world. It is for you to expand the world. Shine your light and hold your fire.

Waking up each day offers new possibilities. Each day we have the ability to  create new and exciting experiences and possibilities. We have a say in how our day goes. It starts very simply. It starts in a reflection.

A mirror reflects back to us that which it sees. When you stand before a mirror you get a direct reflection of what you currently look like. If you have a red long sleeved shirt on you see yourself in that exact long sleeved red shirt. You wouldn’t see yourself in a black short sleeved shirt. That wouldn’t be possible because a mirror can only reflect you exactly as you are at the time of looking into said mirror.

The Universe is like a mirror. It reflects.

The Universe can be defined in many ways. It is the stars and galaxies. It is matter and energy. My Universe, the one I associate with, is human experience through divine power. The Universe is what we are all consciously and subconsciously a part of. Some may call it God, or the Divine. The Universe is that which holds all things in its grasps. We are all Universal Energy, part of the Big U.

Give people just a little bit of knowledge and courage and they will track down those greedy-ass bankers and hold them accountable. All we need is just a little courageous anarchy. The problem, the crux, the fly in the ointment: most people are not courageous enough, and most people don’t want to learn anything that attacks their all-too-precious worldview. Yes, the very worldview that is keeping people indebted to an immoral, unhealthy, unsustainable, unjust system of human governance, is precisely the worldview that the majority of people are clinging to. Indeed, most people, even though they would probably say otherwise, would rather be kissed with a lie than slapped with the truth. They would rather deny facts that tarnish their worldview than reject the deceit that upholds it. But as Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable. Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.”
