How to Stop Sinking into Negative Thinking

Key Lesson: In the end, there’s only one place that anxious thoughts for “tomorrow” can lead you to… and that is deeper into the trap of believing that it’s possible to think your way into being a complete human being.

Stop Sinking into Negative Thinking

I’m sure we can all agree that no intelligent, conscious person would ever intentionally hurt themselves. No one would choose to ache. Yet the fact remains that all of us do hurt ourselves every day with bursts of anger or fits of depression or anxiety. Even at the simplest level, there can be no doubt: fear and worry take an immeasurable toll on our health and well-being. So, then, knowing intelligent people would never intentionally hurt themselves, but also admitting that we do just that one way or another, almost every day, how do we reconcile this contradiction? There is only one possible conclusion that we can draw from these facts, as startling as it may seem at first glimpse.

Scientists Find Fractal Patterns & Golden Ratio Pulses in Stars

By Amateo Ra:

A recent article in Scientific American has reported the discovery that fractal patterns and the golden ratio have been discovered in outer space for the very first time. Researchers from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa have been studying a specific kind of stars called RR Lyrae variables using the Kepler Space Telescope. Unlike normal stars, they expand and contract, causing their brightness to adjust dramatically, and in so doing create pulsations.

But the pulsations aren’t random or arbitrary. They are pulsating in accordance with the golden mean. We have seen the golden ratio turn up in nature all the time, but this is the first time it has ever been identified in space.

“Unlike our Sun, RR Lyrae stars shrink and swell, causing their temperatures and brightness to rhythmically change like the frequencies or notes in a song,” Dr Lindner, the lead Researcher, explained. It’s the ratio between this swelling and shrinking that is so important.

They have been studying the pulsations of these stars, and several of them have been pulsating frequencies nearly identical to the Golden Ratio. These specific stars are called “Golden RR Lyrae Variables.”

Institutional Thinking – The Matrix, 1984 and The Allegory of The Cave

Some philosophical work is so profound as to be influential for thousands of years. Plato’s ‘The Republic‘ is one such series of dialogues. It explains and explores the relationship between state institutions and individuals, and has provided humanity with lessons in politics, philosophy and individual enlightenment since it was penned some two thousand years ago.

One of the central dialogues in The Republic is called the Allegory of the Cave. The lessons the Allegory of the Cave provides to today’s world are numerous, and its depiction of our insidious societal structure is extremely accurate and insightful — despite often going unacknowledged as such.  Through its exploration of our political outer states, it also explores our psychological inner state as well.

Not All We See

Oh the obstacles to seeing things As They Are

Let’s start with a debunked idea: the Natives couldn’t see the ships of Christopher Columbus because their minds could not comprehend something so far out of their range of experience. They looked at the sea and saw nothing approaching.

Very imaginative but not likely. People can see strange and unfamiliar things, but they do sometimes try really hard not to. Especially if what is on the horizon smells of hell.

It seems that if we see what is, we know, and to know makes us accountable. Accountability is not often wanted, even if it ultimately leads to something that benefits us. So we have learned how to allow ourselves a blind eye.

Canada Aboriginals Reject $960 Million Petronas Gas Deal

Happy to see some people who understand what's truly valuable.

An aboriginal group along Canada’s Pacific Coast turned down Petroliam Nasional Bhd.’s offer of C$319,000 ($267,000) for each member as compensation for building a natural gas export terminal on ancestral lands.

The Lax Kw’alaams Band in northern British Columbia spurned the C$1.15 billion package after the community unanimously voted against the $30 billion project in three polls. The group is concerned that the project will harm the environment. The rejection is a new obstacle to plans to export liquefied natural gas from North America to Asian markets.

The public should recognize that “this is not a money issue: this is environmental and cultural,” the group said in a statement Wednesday. Opposition to the plan was overwhelming, Garry Reece, mayor of the town of Lax Kw’alaams, said in an interview in Vancouver Tuesday, before the band leadership made a final decision.

God, Mankind and Delta-Consciousness

God, Mankind and Delta-ConsciousnessBy Steve Chandler

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

Richard Dawkins famously once said; “Faith is the great cop-out, the great excuse to evade the need to think and evaluate evidence”. Dawkins professes not to believe in God or Gods, nor to have any faith that there is substance to our spiritual world. (That he has forged a career through tales of why he doesn’t believe in something – something he clearly believes in enough to seek to disprove its existence – is a paradox that, due to hubris, eludes the Professor).

God – the existence of, the role of, the power of – has challenged brighter minds than Richard Dawkins over millennia. And simpler minds have poured over scriptures, debated the flight path of birds and made icons out of implements of death, all in the search for meaning as to who and what is ‘God’. Yet the true nature of God remains elusive. Which is a curious thing; for God is of mankind. But in a manner that would shake the Professor to his core.

5 Complaints That Lower Your Vibration and 5 Sayings That Raise It

Everything is energy.

The words we speak are literal vibrations. Our thoughts, feelings and things we perceive as intangible exist physically on another frequency. What we say, think and feel are more real than we can understand.

When we speak words that have a low vibration, that energy effects us because we are all the same thing. Fundamentally we are all made up of the same base structure of creation.

When we emit a wave of energy in the form of words, thoughts or feelings, it literally hits everyone around us. It merges with our energy and we process the information in a way that’s unique to us.
