From the trash-strewn Great Wall of China to oil-filled lakes, this land and its people are suffering from the effects of unsustainable industrialized living.

In case you haven’t heard, China has declared war on pollution, as rates of environmental toxicity are beyond tolerable and are negatively affecting its population. As reported by NationalInterest, the first thing you notice when arriving in China is a cloud of smog that hugs its industrialized cities.

Social Butterfly, What Mask Do You Wear?

masks

By Caroline Diana Bobart

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

It has probably occurred to you already that you wear different ’masks’ or personas in your life. BUT, if you haven’t done a recent inventory, you might be surprised to learn that you have an extensive ‘collection’ of masks that together represents an entire spectrum of human emotion. From vulnerability to ferocious courage, your collection includes a mask connected to every emotion and fear you have – and every nuance in-between.

According to your instincts, before you even formulate a conscious thought about what you perceive to be happening around you, you instinctively reach for and assume the most appropriate mask. Most fundamentally, your collection of ‘masks’ exists to protect you and keep you feeling safe.

Awakening to Our Divine Self

We emerge from our most extraordinary spiritual experiences, knowing our reality has shifted. Whether through a momentary glimpse of our body dissolving its form into Light, or a powerful meditation in which we feel ourselves as the Planet or the Universe, our perception of Life is altered.

These enlightening experiences are as diverse and unique as we are.

Seeking and Finding Your Self

When you feel lonely, which is common when you think about it, you have fallen into a pit of illusion. There is no separation except in your thinking and feeling of lostness. If you imagine that you are simply one dot of billions of dots, of course, you feel separate and alone. You, who believe you are unknown, therefore, feel you are not of much importance, and you may believe what a snake long ago whispered in your ear.

It is one thing to be one in a million where the connotation means that you are rare and wonderful, which is who you are. This is the Truth of you regardless of what anyone says.

Yet when you see yourself as a dot among so many dots, you feel nothing wonderful about being one in a million. A million drones, you may think.

You may think that no one knows you, and no one cares, and so you feel immersed in loneliness.

Do you know what you are really lonely for? You are lonely to know your Self. Of course, you are lost without awareness of your Self. You haven’t yet come to know your Self. You are lonely for your Self, and you feel hapless on a little raft in the middle of an ocean. Or you are at the top of a tree from which you don’t know how to get down.

All the while, you are in My Heart. You will find your Self where I am, for where I am, are you.

You have been told. You are quoting others when you say, "I am a Hindu." Your Hinduism is within quotation marks. When you say, "I am a communist," you are again quoting others. You can believe in the Bible, or in DAS KAPITAL, it doesn't matter; you are a believer. Then you are not a true person. You have not yet known who you are. You are clinging to some information fed from the outside by others.

To discover oneself means to drop all quotation marks, to be utterly naked in the sun. Then only one becomes religious, then only one knows one's true center and being. But people are wasting their energies in unnecessary questions. You ask one question, you will get a thousand and one answers for it, and you will become more and more confused. If you believe in any answer that answer is not going to satisfy either; it will create new questions.

For example, if you believe that God created the world, then the question arises: why? Nothing is solved. You were thinking, "My question, 'Who created the world?' will be solved if I can trust and believe that God created the world," but now the question arises: why? Why did he not create it before! What was he doing before he created the world? For eternity, just think... what was he doing! And why did he suddenly create the world four thousand and four years before Jesus? Why so suddenly? What happened, what motivation? Maybe some answer can be given to it; that is not going to help. New questions will arise. That is one of the indications of a false answer: it does not solve the basic question; on the contrary, it creates more questions.

The Value of Being Alone – When It Helps & When It Hurts

will's picture

I see a lot of talk in spiritual communities about how important it is to spend time alone, about how healing it is and how great it is for our Soul. While in many cases that's true, always wanting to be alone can hamper our growth as well. There's moments to be alone, and then there's moments to be together...

I won't beat around the bush, I don't like big cities. From a mental perspective, they're great, the mind can stay very busy in the city. There's all sorts of entertainment, non-stop things to do, and great food to eat. Movies, music, and dancing are never far away, people are everywhere. There's only one thing missing: peace.

To me, visiting a city is like wading through thick psychic mud. All the chaos is people's mind, all their fears & desires, create this kind of discordant psychic noise. It's very draining to be in that energy, and people become very numb, very disconnected from each other. It seems like a contradiction, but you can be surrounded by thousands of people, while also being incredibly alone. There's even a term for it, “urban solitude”.

Having lived in this environment myself, I can understand the desire to want to be alone in your own personal space. Being alone in my room was one of the few opportunities I had to really experience a calm and peaceful environment, with the exception of being out in Nature. Everywhere else in the city was stressful, and the longer I stayed, the more stress built up. I always had to do a deep auric cleansing afterward.

Propaganda is the Art of Overwhelming Logic

One type of mind control involves defeating logic as a method of thinking.

Modern formulations of basic logic begin with the statement: You can’t have A and not-A. Which is a way of saying contradictions are unacceptable.

So it’s no surprise that mind control attempts to introduce contradictions into rational processes.

You see this in propaganda.

For example: People who are vaccinated are in danger from those who are unvaccinated. (“Keep your unvaccinated child away from my vaccinated child.”)

16 Ways to Amplify and Expand Your Feelings of Self Love

HJ: Self love is a powerful state of being that profoundly shifts you, your reality and everyone you come into contact with.  It is the key to many positive emotional states such as happiness, joy, awe, peace, and so on.  And, in a sense, the degree to which you love yourself (and by consequence) those around you, is a good measure of your level of consciousness and awareness.  According to Ken Wilber’s model of consciousness it is a high stage of consciousness, which are more fundamental to living a deeply fulfilled, happy life than states, which are inherently transient.

7 Signs You’re A True Empath

1. TV dramas really get to you.

Everybody Loves Raymond is pretty much the worst show if you’re an empath. I could probably talk about that for an hour. When people are mad on TV, you feel it. When they’re sad, you feel it. Watching dramatic shows can really get to you.

2. Crowds are a little overwhelming.

It can be fine for a while, but experiencing that many people all at once can be overwhelming. Sometimes you can really feel all the emotions around you.

3. You feel the pain of others.

This is a pretty common thing among people. Our brains are actually soft wired to experience the experiences of others, and that includes their pain.

4. You can immediately tell the character of someone.

This one is pretty rare. Sometimes we can really get a vibe for someone but empaths take it to a whole new level. It’s like they can see right through a person’s BS right to their core.
