Learning is Inevitable

When you judge, you condemn. This is the long and the short of it. Judging is exclusive. In judging, you exclude someone or even a whole group from your good graces. To whatever degree, you condemn others to be excluded from your heart. You set them aside and take them out of your good-heartedness. Objecting to their actions, you would eradicate them. You object to their existence and choose to put them out of your sight, and, therefore, to your mind, they no longer exist.

This is what I mean when I say that the faults you see in others are a projection of your own thoughts. If you cannot see your projection here, let’s look at it another way.

However you see another, you put yourself right beside him. You model yourself after him.

I am teaching you to be yourself. I am teaching you to be fearless; I am teaching you not to yield to the social pressure; I am teaching you not to be a conformist. I am teaching you not to hanker for comfort and convenience, because if you hanker for comfort and convenience, the society will give them to you, but at a cost. And the cost is great: you get convenience, but you lose your consciousness. You get comfort, but you lose your soul.

You can have respectability, but then you are not true to yourself; you are a pseudo human being; you have betrayed your God and yourself. But the society wants that, that you should betray yourself.

The society wants to use you as a machine, the society wants you to be obedient. The society does not need you to function as an intelligent being, because an intelligent being will behave in an intelligent way and there may be moments when he will say, "No, I cannot do this."

Growing Your Own Food is a Must for Our Future

Jefferey Jaxen, Contributor
Waking Times

Riding the full force GMO backlash of 2014, communities and individuals alike are breaking down the door with Black Friday-urgency in search of better access to better food. Yet in a country where we continue to be limited by the bottom line of big corporate influences and their overarching monetary reach, the first sprouts of a mighty paradigm shift have been peeking through the dirt waiting for everyone to notice. What I’m talking about is growing your own food.

Children Growing Own Food on Own Terms

In recent interviews, herbalist and longtime fixture in alternative agriculture Dr. Richard Alan Miller has described what he sees as proof of a shift in consciousness that is occurring in his recent work on the outskirts of Mexico City as well as in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Groups of children, varying in age, are learning to grow vegetables and salad greens on their own terms.

5 Ways to Feel More Accomplished Every Day

We are truly our own worst critic. Why? When we set standards, often we will personally exceed them, without giving much notice to it all. That is the wrong way to approach situations and life, in general. You owe it to yourself to be truly happy and feel accomplished every day, and it starts with recognizing your achievements and valuing yourself.

1. Realize How Far You Have Come

No matter what your situation entails, you have always come from a different place. From a personality, mentality, to even a physical change. If you are happy with the results, be proud that you have made these efforts to improve. No one else will be able to change you; you did that for you. Own it, be proud of it and keep growing.

18 Life Changing Lessons to Learn from Socrates

socrates

Luminita Saviuc, Purpose Fairy
Waking Times

If I have learned something from Socrates is that you cannot teach people anything; you can only make them think. You can only draw out of them the wisdom which is latent within them. And by doing so, you help open their eyes, making them realize that they were born with wings and that they can fly, as high as they want to fly…

Anyway, I gathered what I thought to be some of Socrates best quotes and compiled them into 18 life changing lessons that you might want to learn. Here they are:

1. True wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.

Five Questions to Create a Better Life

By Polly Campbell | Imperfect Spirituality

positivenegative

One of the best ways to live deliberately – to actually become aware of the life you are living to create the experiences you desire – is to ask good questions.

When we ask questions our brains and instincts circle around searching for the answers until they come up with something that speaks to our questions.

Feel Like You’re Stuck in a Rut? 3 Ways to See Life Anew

We all have those times where life has become completely dull and uninspiring.  In moments like these we crave to feel the spark of life again.  Fortunately, there are a few things that you can do to get your fire burning again!

Here are three easy ways to see life anew when you feel like you’re stuck in a rut:

1. Be spontaneous: So often we do the same thing every. single. day.  We wake up at the same time and we go to bed at the same time.  We go to the same restaurants and we go to the same grocery stores.  We talk to the same people.  We wear the same clothes.

If you want to kick life up a notch, take a weekend off and do everything differently!  Think of it as a mini-adventure/vacation from your routine.

Greet Everyone: Day 166, Cimi 10

Greet each person with a smile while making eye contact. Release all judgments towards others. Focus on the knowledge that every person you meet is created by the same Source that created you. See everyone as an equal, as part of you.

Whenever it is appropriate, tell the people you interact with that you appreciate them. Notice every person that comes into your visual field. Pay attention to ways you may be of assistance. A simple nod or smile can make a positive difference in a person’s day.

Notice people’s reactions. There will be some who are uneasy and avert their eyes from you. Others may grunt an acknowledgement in return. Some will markedly brighten. No matter how they react towards you, be mindful not to judge them. Do not allow yourself to become unbalanced if anyone acts in a way that you feel is inappropriate.

This exercise is for you, to assist you in paying attention, honoring and respecting all people. You would do well to repeat this exercise every day until it becomes habitual. Try it; you’ll like it!    Selamet!  Cimi 10
