15 Things Highly Confident People Don’t Do

Confidence will take you a long way in this world. You don’t get to be the manager of your store, the president of the United States, or anything in between without a little bit of confidence. Instead of telling you about all the things you need to do to be more confident, we’ll talk about the things that highly confident people don’t do.

1. They don’t make any excuses.

What can I say? The confident live up to their mistakes. They don’t blame traffic for being late. They were just late. It happens. They know admitting is the first step to improving.

2. They don’t avoid things that scare them.

Face it, the confident don’t fear things they shouldn’t. They don’t let fear dominate their lives. They know what they’re afraid of and challenge it.

Genuine Salvation

The soul is an infinite feeling of self-worth. It is genuine salvation. One touch is enough to cure our unconscious illnesses and mend our brokenness. It is difficult to grasp this in the mind. In fact, the structures of the mind, beliefs, etc. are mostly impediments. The feeling of infinite self-worth is felt through the soul and it cannot be faked. Typically we settle for a false version of this and call it salvation. Confessing Jesus and doing good works doesn’t necessarily change how we feel about ourselves. False salvation is an unconscious attempt to compensate for not feeling good enough. Genuine salvation squashes any thought of unworthiness to non-existence and the desire to resolve our sinfulness is gone.

Accepting a false version of salvation leads to a lack of true self-esteem. This is common because it is easier to trust the authorities than it is to find out the truth for ourselves. This is not salvation. It is exasperation. True salvation comes from the feeling of value in our soul...

A God of Love Beckons You

You may well be turning a corner in your life, yet some turns take their own sweet time. Sometimes it may feel that you have been turning this corner for a long time, very long time. You may be feeling that you are driving an old car that hasn’t been able to quite make the hill. Sometimes you may feel you are in slow motion or caught on the edge of some kind of unseen precipice. Sometimes you feel futuristic, and that you are in no car at all, just sailing around a corner with nothing holding you as you make the turn as though you are totally on your own.

Of course, it is not true that you are on your own, for you always have Me with you. I am your steering mechanism. In all cases, I am with you, loving you, loving you more than you can absorb. That you feel alone is proof of something missing only in your perception, for I am always firmly in your presence. You may, just may, see Me as fearful rather than merciful.

Merciful is not really a right word for Me, for there is no decision for Me to make. I do not debate. I do not decide. What you call mercy is ever-present. For the word mercy, I substitute love. I declare the one-syllable word love. It is ever with Me.

I do not choose or unchoose mercy as though mercy were an option. There is no option. Love is not an option. Of course, I would choose love, yet I chose it from the beginning. Love in My book was never a choice. Love has always been a given. Love established itself before the beginning. The beginning itself was issued from love.

Mohammed has said, "Die before you die." That is a Sufi statement: die before you die. Death is coming, death will take you away, but that will not be a voluntary death. It will not be a surrender.

You will be forced to die. A Sufi dies voluntarily; he dies in love. He does not wait for death to come, love is enough to die for. And to die in love is beautiful because to die in love is to go beyond death.

Listen to Mohammed: die before you die.

If you can die here with me... I am a dead man. I have died. And all that I am teaching you is an art of dying so that you can move into the state of fana, you disappear. If you fulfill that condition of disappearing, God immediately rewards you with baka - being descends in you - and that being is eternal.

The door that you have to pass through is the door of love because only a lover is ready to die voluntarily. Nobody else can die voluntarily, only a lover, because the lover knows that death is not death, but the beginning of an eternal pilgrimage.

Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, assumes renewed importance with the massive core of the solar system entering his sign. Of great interest is Neptune in Pisces returning to central importance in the transits, perhaps unexpected with Sun’s emphasis on Uranus. Anyhow, a rich topic with many theoretical extensions and practical applications and observations.

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.

But one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable Rights" of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."

12 Things Mature Men Don’t Do

It seems that we as a society have forgotten some important values, and are generally becoming more immature as a result. There doesn’t seem to be a differentiation between manliness and egocentric chauvinist behavior in a lot of people’s minds, which is truly sad. You have people saying things like 30 is the new 20, and grown men acting like entitled spoiled children. The truth is that once you’ve stepped into your mid-20s you should have gained enough life experience to be able to behave like a mature adult.

The thing is, few young people – and too few older people as well, I’m sad to say – don’t really know what it means to be a mature man. A truly mature man is a strong and confident individual, a diligent provider, passionate and caring lover, brave protector, problem solver, careful listener, a safe port in a storm and a friend you can depend on.

Being a confident individual who knows a thing or two about life, understands that others depend on him and has his priorities straight, a mature man will never exhibit behaviors associated with inexperienced, immature and weak people. Here are the things that mature men don’t do.

1. They don’t let fear keep them from achieving happiness and success...

The Physical Universe is an Information System

For 5,000 years we have been taught that our physical reality is massive and really hard to change. That viewpoint is limited, however, and is the result of knowledge gained strictly from the limitation of the five bodily senses. In fact, most of the “action” in the physical universe happens on a much subtler level. Quantum mechanics and computer science have taught us that physical objects can be viewed as vibrational information systems. And when we understand that, our solid and immovable reality becomes something much lighter and amenable to positive change.

An Information System is a coherent collection of data that can be stored, processed, and retrieved, to supply useful content to human beings. Most information these days is stored in databases, which are organized sets of data that can rapidly be input, calculated upon, and output. Information systems are used in business, to help process customer orders, organize inventory, calculate payroll, etc. Banks and securities firms are completely dependent on information systems to store customer account records and to process financial transactions. Information systems are an integral part of modern life.
