In my eyes, to be courageous is to be willing to do what we know is right for us and the planet even if it scares us. We can achieve anything if we have courage and we can persevere, but it’s easier to be afraid of challenges and new experiences than it is to confront them.
A lot of people prefer to avoid the challenges life puts on their path, but they don’t understand that those challenges exist for a reason.
The purpose of life (beyond trying to make the world a better place) is to learn and grow until we eventually reunite with the Source, and we won’t make any progress if we avoid challenging ourselves and learning new things.
In order to overcome a challenge, we have to find the courage to confront it (and keep going once we do) no matter how much we’d rather stick with what’s comfortable. For example; we’ll be tempted to give up on our life purpose a lot because it isn’t always comfortable or enjoyable, but if it means enough to us, we’ll never stray too far from it.
If we give in to the temptation and distance ourselves from it, we’ll miss out on one of the most worthwhile aspects of being human: living with purpose. Our existence on this planet is no accident, and we’re not just here to survive.
