When you meet a woman and you fall in love, she is a person. Sooner or later you reduce her into a thing - she becomes a wife. A wife is a thing; a woman is a person. If you really love any woman you will not reduce her to a wife. A wife is a function. If you really love a man you will not reduce him to a husband. A husband? It is a legal contract, a formality. To be in love with a man, undefined, indefinable, has beauty; to reduce him to a contract, to reduce him to a function, to reduce him to a husband, means you have reduced him into a thing.

But whatsoever you do, a person remains a person and he cannot be reduced into a thing. And that creates trouble. The wife remains a woman, whatsoever you think. She remains a woman. You can believe that she is a wife, but still she is a woman - vast, unpredictable. That creates trouble.

You would like her to be as predictable as a thing, as your car, as your tape recorder, as your TV - predictable, manipulatable, controllable, always obedient. And she tries, but still there is something inside her which is not a thing at all - a no-thing, a freedom. That asserts. And whenever that freedom asserts, there is trouble.

And you also have that freedom, and whenever your freedom asserts there is trouble.

Your Frame of Mind

God said:

If you would accept that you are My Beloved, what would there be for you to ever worry about?

If you would chose My way of thinking, what could the matter be?

When you, My children, believe in your own beating hearts as much as My heart, what fears would you have and how many would you act upon?

When you have more confidence in your thoughts and the world’s thoughts than you do in My thinking, what are you thinking, and what are you predicting, and what are you cultivating?

In God you would like to trust. In God, you would love to trust, yet when you trust fear more than you trust Me, what do you expect?

Of course, you would gladly accept trust in Me if only you could. Without trust in Me, beloveds, you trust the mayhem of the world, that which you see, and that which you hear about and read about. Generally, mayhem is more noticeable than peace. To your eyes, peace is more of a blank slate or some kind of non-entity. Peace doesn’t hold the barriers that skirmishes do so it is not quite so easy to point out peace.

After the last World War – the world was innocent nevertheless – when peace was declared, there was dancing in the streets! What a Glory Day that was from war to peace. Peace was a stand-out.

Alas, peace became old hat and wasn't as dynamic as it was at first. Alas, other troubles grew and the momentum of peace showed down and was not so clear to see.

Can it be possible that My children look for trouble more than they look for Peace? Could this be?

Florida Manatees May Be Moving Off The Endangered Species List

I was a nanny for the most animal-loving little girl on this earth. Whether she was three years old or 11 years old, she’s always preferred exploring the great outdoors over sitting inside staring at a TV screen. Ever since I can remember, she’s had an affection for manatees. She begged her parents to buy her the stuffed animal sort, suggested trips to Florida to see them roam the waters, and she religiously wore T-shirts that said something along the lines of, “Save the Manatees.”

The growing list of endangered species is something to be sad about. Just last year the number of animals and plants at risk for extinction rose from 22,413 in 2014 to 22,784 in 2015. “Our natural world is becoming increasingly vulnerable,” explained International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) chief Inger Andersen.

Surging Twixt Converging Worlds

There is a lot of evaluating and assessment going on right now. Where are we heading? The trajectory of at least the outside whirled is certainly not a good one. What about our personal lives? How will these seemingly inevitable fascist external controls affect us? Should we adjust our plans accordingly?

And how?

A lot of questions, and a lot more surmisings. Choose your course wisely but don’t be attached to the outcome. A simple but profound concept. It’s a time to stay light footed and ready to play it by ear.

If that seems disconcerting to you there might be a problem or two you need to address. Adjust accordingly and continue to jettison excess baggage. This existence is transient and so should be our way of life. Doing so is becoming a matter of survival at the very least, but it’s also a path of immense happiness and freedom.

2016 – Just Another Year?

2015 was a year of tumultuous challenges and changes as we watched the outside world unzip and unfold in the midst of engineered events, the resultant disappointing sway of hypnotized humanity, and a concurrent massive awakening under way on multiple levels both within and without each of us.

Why The “Hell” Of Physical Pain Is Important In Our Conscious Evolution

I have evolved through the years to the point of living, as best I can, my personal motto:

I am connected to everything and everyone, everywhere ©

This means there are no differences between myself and others in any way. Race, skin colour, salary level, past transgressions or future trajectories cannot divide me from other members of the human race. Personal life circumstances have brought me to this place through the vicissitudes of life: near death, racial victimization, gender inequality, heart ache, disappointment, emotional pain, and struggle interspersed with exhilaration and extreme joy.

Paradoxically, it was excruciating physical pain that would stretch my notion of connectedness beyond its current limits and ultimately change me in ways I could not imagine.

Invite the Sunshine In

Where you have clouds in your heart, invite the sunshine in. There are those cloudy days in your heart, and it is easy to succumb to them. It is easy for you to allow yourself to be swept right in, as if you had no choice. The gray clouds seem to act like a magnet, and the color of your day matches the gray of the clouds.

Where We exist, you and I – and We exist as One, and We are in Bright Light – darkness does not exist. Darkness is fantasy. In Truth, there is nothing to compare Light to.

Oneness leaves nothing to contrast with and nothing to compare to. There is no with in Oneness. No against, no opposed, no other. Imagine the sweetness of Oneness.

You may think you crave chocolate or chewy caramels. There is something more you crave. It’s true. Absolutely, you seek to find more Oneness. You’ve had more than enough of seeming Otherness. Now you are ripe for the Sweetness of Oneness which satisfies all hungers. Here, take some Oneness now. Oneness is everywhere even as there is no where.

Oneness is not pre-wrapped. It seems to enter by osmosis. Oneness sinks in the way the Season of Spring arrives. Suddenly, spring is here, and you spot a crocus and then more and more flowers join -- lilies of the valley, bluets, tulips. Dandelions pop up. You are surrounded by color, and you are joyous.

When you have a great bank balance you feel you are. The moment the bank balance disappears you start disappearing. People commit suicide when they go bankrupt, as if their soul was in the bank. Their bank balance was their soul. How can they live now without a soul?

Just watch how attached you become to things. Your house, your many scientific gadgets, which are nothing but toys - how deeply you become obsessed with them. And slowly, slowly you forget completely that you are a no-thing.

Not only that you forget that you are a no-thing, you forget that your wife is not a thing, that your child is not a thing. Surrounded by things and things, living in a thingified culture.... That is the real name for a materialist culture. One tends to forget all that is spiritual, and one tends to reduce everything into a thing. Even persons are reduced.
