The people of Bangladesh are facing a serious problem as their government recently approved the commercial cultivation of genetically modified eggplant. Now, they need your help. While the Bangladehi government, and others who support GMO crops, believes the Bt is necessary for controlling pests, others see the lack of success with other pest-controlling GMO creations – along with all of the dangers that come along. When they say these GM-crops perform better than the conventional crops, again, they are wrong. Several studies have shown GMO crops to perform worse than their conventional and less-harmful counterparts, even transforming otherwise benign pests into major crop-damaging threats.

LONDON, Nov 28 (Reuters) - The publisher of a controversial and much-criticised study suggesting genetically modified corn caused tumours in rats has withdrawn the paper after a yearlong investigation found it did not meet scientific standards.

Reed Elsevier's Food and Chemical Toxicology journal, which published the study by the French researcher Gilles-Eric Seralini in September 2012, said on Thursday the retraction was because the study's small sample size meant no definitive conclusions could be reached. "This retraction comes after a thorough and time-consuming analysis of the published article and the data it reports, along with an investigation into the peer-review behind the article," the journal said in statement. At the time of its original publication, hundreds of scientists across the world questioned Seralini's research, which said rats fed Monsanto's GM corn suffered tumours and multiple organ failure.

In case you haven’t heard, it seems TED (recently criticized as joining Monsanto’s GMO agenda) no longer supports any talks regarding GMOs, food as medicine, or even the subject of how food can help prevent behavioral disorders in children. In a recently written letter (that can be found here), TEDx openly admits to banning any discussions on alternative means of healing. The declaration was published on December 7, 2012 and has received large criticism on both sides.
