Life is a soap opera. What a flair for drama My children have. Life in the world is a whole canvas.

 

Tragedies range from great drama to a collar shrunk in the dryer. Or a lost pen or a lost letter. A tragedy can be anything you say it is. And one tragedy makes room for another. There is a parade of tragedies that then recede.

 

Many of My children do indeed seem to prefer theater to peace. This is a choice. It is like this:

 

When Jack and Jill fell down the hill, there was a momentum, and they fell and tumbled until they hit the bottom of the hill unless it happened that they caught the trunk of a tree to break their fall.

God said:

 

When you are hot under the collar and you feel you have to let off steam, get a punching bag or run two miles. Do not vent your barrage of steam on another living being. At such times, you are too hot to handle.

 

Yes, yes, you may be perfectly right, but what does that have to do with anger? Everyone thinks he or she is right. The true cause of temper is temper, not what someone else says or doesn’t say.

 

It is difficult for you or anyone when another cannot seem to listen to what you are saying, yet no other is the cause of your anger. Whatever is going on stirs up something in the past, and you mix up the present with the past. Let the past recede. It isn’t going anywhere. Let it go. It is your ire and your confusing what happens now with what once happened in the past. You don’t have to relive the past. Reliving the past is putting yourself and others into an unfavorable role.

Come pick up your good fortune. Good fortune is yours. It is meant for you. I want you to have it.

 

Have a peek.

 

It is not possible for one person alone to have good fortune. Whatever good fortune you receive, everyone receives the benefit of yours. Whatever raises the spirits on one coast is also received on every other coast. There is Oneness, and there is Oneness of Good Fortune. Whatever benefits one, benefits all.

What if you accepted everything that came to you as what is supposed to come? What if you did not have to fight it? What if you did not have to push it away? Even when it was something you didn’t like, what if you didn’t have to make anything of it? What if you did not have to fume about it or ache about it? What if whatever happens happens, and that’s all there is to it? What if you do not have to berate anyone for what you didn’t want, not anyone including yourself?

 

This is what is meant by taking life as it comes. You simply don’t make a big to-do about it. You don’t have to go into it. It happened. You don’t have to defend yourself. You do not have to set someone else straight.

Beloveds, you are here to serve.

 

From the moment you were born, you served your parents as their child. You were born for more than yourself. You were born to give service from your heart.

 

At the beginning of your birth, your life included a small circle, and, as you grew, your circle grew. Or, perhaps I should say that your conscious awareness of how far you extended grew. Now you know that your Being and your thoughts encircle the whole Universe and beyond and make all the difference in the world.

What if the way you have thought about someone or something isn’t so absolutely right as you have thought? What if your thinking is askew? What is so important to you that you may feel you must keep the same way of thinking? We are talking about the way you think and the thoughts you have. You always are thinking something.

 

One way of thinking doesn’t have to be your lifeline. Your way of thinking is a precursor to the unfolding of your life. There are many ways of thinking. Be open to new ways of thinking or rethinking.

 

It is possible to think differently from the way you always have. You do not know the sum total of everything or anything, beloveds. Because you think a certain way doesn’t make what you think true – except it’s true to you. What you think, what you conclude, what you fear may indeed predicate your life. A thought process may be set in motion which will make your way of thinking come true, and, therefore, seem to prove true.

Please forgive yourself for any wrongs you have done. They may pang your heart now. At the time, you thought you were right, or you didn’t think. Now you are ahead of the game. Is that to rue and regret?

 

It used to be that the world thought that I was a God Who punished. Punisher, I am not. I have other matters to take care of rather than trying to catch you in a what is called a wrongful act. Without exception, you did the best you could at the time. Even if you robbed a bank and you knew that robbing was not admirable, you were doing the best you could at the time, so-called time.

 

Beloveds, you were guilty of ignorance. You were numbed in awareness. You were short-sighted. Do we persecute the blind for being blind or the deaf for being deaf or the poor in heart to be poor in heart or errant thinking for being errant? The deed itself is punishment enough, yet punishment is not what is required.

Beloveds, today is the day in front of you, so love it. Set yourself up for a great day! Anticipate it. Welcome it. Treat it with respect. Hail it. Make today a shining day, a golden day. 

 

Why not a holy day today? What not a day today when you listen to the beat of My heart? Why not a day today that awes you, has you dancing with joy, right with Me where I AM right with you?

 

Why not an uncanny day? Why not today a day that you take on as your emboldened golden partner in evolution? There are many steps of evolution. You will experience many.

 

Every day can be a heyday. A lot depends upon how you greet the day. You do recognize that you are the host to today? Welcome today whatever today may look like. Give today a comfortable seat in your heart. Nourish it.
