8 Ways Spiritual People May Be Fooling Themselves

by Elina St-Onge, Collective Evolution

Who is more aligned with their path of spiritual evolution?

  • A person sitting in a lotus position, taking deep breaths and in perfect composure?
  • Or a person curled up in a ball, crying hysterically?

If we base our answer on everything we have learned from “new age” philosophies and most spiritual teachings out there, I think it’s fair to say that the person meditating wins. He/she appears peaceful, at ease, and detached. Now I’m not about to “shock” you and say that the opposite is true. But I would argue that this image is just that: an image.

This is why:

4 Huge Benefits Of An Undisturbed First Hour After Birth

by Alexa Erickson, Collective Evolution

The first hours after a baby is welcomed into the world may have short- and long-term consequences. Evidence has shown that newborns who are placed skin to skin with their mothers immediately after birth have better respiratory, temperature, and glucose stability, and significantly less crying that stipulates less stress.

“Because the first hour after birth is so momentous, we have named it ‘The Sacred Hour’ at our hospital,” explains Raylene Phillips, MD.

“What might the first moments after birth be like for the newborn infant? If a fetus has been fortunate enough to spend his fully allotted 266 days in the womb since conception, he has had the luxury of having all his emerging developmental needs met. The uterus and the placenta have provided warmth, protection, nutrition and oxygen, as well as close and continual proximity to the mother’s heart and voice,” Phillips continues.

Scientists Just Observed Epigenetic Memories Being Passed Down For 14 Generations

by Kalee Brown, Collective Evolution

Scientists have made some incredible new discoveries on how our minds can literally affect our biology, especially through the study of epigenetics, the brach of science that looks at how inherited changes of phenotype (appearance) or gene expression are caused by mechanisms other than changes in the underlying DNA sequence. Instead of looking at DNA as the only factor controlling our biology, scientists are also looking at what’s actually controlling the DNA, which includes our thoughts.

We receive genetic instructions from our DNA, passed down through generations, but the environment we live in can also make genetic changes. One of the more recent studies that explored this concept was conducted by a team led by scientists from the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) in Spain.

3-Year-Old Boy Remembers His Past Life, Locates His Body & Identifies The Man Who Murdered Him

by Arjun Walia, Collective Evolution

Reincarnation has remained on the fringe of scientific inquiry for a long time, despite a number of scientists urging the mainstream community to research it further — and for good reason. Decades ago, American astronomer and astrobiologist Carl Sagan said that “there are three claims in the (parapsychology) field which, in my opinion, deserve serious study,” with one being “that young children sometimes report details of a pervious life, which upon checking turn out to be accurate and which they could not have known about in any other way than reincarnation.”

This topic falls into the ever-growing study of non-material sciences. At the end of the nineteenth century, physicists discovered something that could not be explained by classical physics. This led to the development of quantum mechanics, which has now proven that the material foundations of our world are not the real foundations we think they are. Quantum mechanic suddenly introduced the mind into its conceptual structure, because all of the results coming from quantum mechanics suggest that the physical world is no longer the primary or sole component of reality.

New Harvard Theory: Extraterrestrials Could Have Star Powered Spaceships - Here's Why

by Arjun Walia, Collective Evolution

This might not be common knowledge, but fast radio bursts (FRB) were first discovered more than 10 years ago. Their place of origin, however, has been a complete mystery since their discovery. A new paper by Harvard researchers, published in the journal Astrophysical Journal Letters, outlines how the possibility that these may actually be artificial hasn’t really been investigated, despite the fact that it is one of the most plausible hypotheses. In the paper, they examine the possibility that these FBRs are artificial beams that have been set up as beacons for the purpose of driving light sails, which would be used to propel spaceships:

Federal Judge Determines That The Public Has No Right To Know About Dakota Pipeline Spill Risks

by Alexa Erickson, Collective Evolution

It’s been months since news broke that, despite one of, if not the, biggest Native American protests in modern history taking place, construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline would move forward. Ever since, media coverage of the controversy has gone strangely quiet.

But despite Facebook feeds no longer reflecting the issue, there is still news to be told, like the pipeline’s parent company, Energy Transfer Partners, which is currently hard at work ensuring no one else points out further civilian and environmental issues that could halt the $3.8 billion project.

Now, a federal judge has given Energy Transfer Partners legal permission to hide any information regarding areas of the pipeline most at risk for spills. This comes despite the major concern from tribes and environmentalists that the pipeline could threaten the safety of the drinking water for millions of people.

Dr. Bronner’s To Donate $5 Million To MAPS To Make MDMA Into An FDA-Approved Medicine

by Alanna Ketler, Collective Evolution

In recent years there have been some very promising studies conducted on the efficacy of using MDMA, more commonly referred to as ecstasy, to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The results have been truly astounding, and it seems using this substance to treat PTSD is becoming a very real possibility. Unfortunately, MDMA is currently classified as a Schedule 1 substance under the Controlled Substances Act, meaning it is still highly illegal in North America. This makes acquiring funding and permissions to conduct studies on the substance difficult.

Just prior to the Psychedelic Science 2017 Conference, which was held in Oakland, California, last week, Dr. Bronner’s — the family owned maker of North America’s popular natural soap brand — announced it will donate $1 million per year over the course of the next five years to the non-profit organization Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). This generous donation was gifted after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave MAPS permission to begin Phase 3 drug trials using MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for people with treatment-resistant posttraumatic stress disorder. Good news all around!

New Moon In Taurus: A Shift In Our Personal Values & Sense Of Self-Worth

by Carmen Di Luccio, Collective Evolution

We are having a New Moon in Taurus on April 26th at 12:16pm Universal Time. New Moons are the beginning of a new wave of energy that lasts until the next one occurs 29 days later. However, the astrological configurations at this time mostly have a stronger influence over the following two weeks.

Mercury has been retrograde since April 9th/10th and will be finishing up during this window. It will slowly begin to change motion from moving backward to forward on May 3rd/4th, though it will appear stationary. From this point on it will pick up speed, and many of the lessons, insights, and changes that occurred over the previous three weeks will start to make more sense and things will start to fall into place and flow better. Some of the common Mercury retrograde complications can still occur during the following days after this shift in direction, but will minimize and then disappear as its speed increases.

New Study: Strange Structures & Passageways Leading Underground Discovered On Far Side Of The Moon

by Arjun Walia, Collective Evolution

Members of the Society For Planetary SETI Research (SPSR) have recently published a paper in the Journal of Space Exploration about certain features on the far side of the moon that appear in the crater Paracelsus C. Titled “Image Analysis of Unusual Structures on the Far Side of the Moon in the Crater Paracelsus C,” it argues that these features might be artificial in origin, meaning someone other than a human being built them and put them there.

Contrary to popular belief, reports of artificial structures on the moon are both common and persistent.  Among the first were from George Leonard’s 1976 book, Somebody Else is on the Moon, and Fred Steckling’s 1981 book, We Discovered Alien Bases on The Moon. There are many more, and from many credible sources, which we will get to later in the article.
