Henry Seltzer ~ A Difficult And Illusory Last Quarter Moon

Astrograph  October 27 2013

Saturday afternoon’s Last Quarter Moon puts us in a reflective mode, in keeping with this final quarterly phase of the lunar cycle, during which we attempt to assess who we are, and where headed, from the standpoint of recent experience. This is also in chime with the Mercury Retrograde period that we have been in since last Monday, another cosmic factor drawing us toward the inside. We stand at the midpoint of two eclipses, with the next, a powerful Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, to come on Sunday, November 3rd. We might therefore at this crux of time be able to look more deeply into both our situation and also ourselves. In this we are aided — and drawn to an other-dimensional viewpoint — by an extreme emphasis at this juncture on Neptune, the astrological archetype of numinous awareness beyond simple logic. Still, we can trust the truest part of our interior vision right now, even though it feels like we are living within a dream.

Today we experience the first of a series of events involving Scorpio, which together make up the peak astrology of 2013. It’s fair to say that Scorpio is the most challenging sign for many people, mainly due to the subject matter it covers: a dimension of the emotional/psychological/psychic realm that embraces the themes of sex, death, surrender and exchange of resources (money, feelings, DNA, and others).

To understand Scorpio, then imagine this whole branch of experience thrown under a veil of denial or concealed by a game of pretend, broadly known as taboo.

Taboos tend to cover some of the most obvious facets of life, as well as the ones we’re the most curious about and driven by.

Henry Seltzer ~ A Full Moon Eclipse Of Illusive Realities

Astrograph  October 17 2013

Friday’s Aries Full Moon is also an eclipse, although we cannot necessarily see it. This means that this Full Moon is a stronger and more intense lunation, so that the symbolism of its planetary configurations will last for the next six months or so into the future.  And that very future is also far from certain, given the predominance of the outer planet alignments over this same period of time.

Uranus and Pluto, already less than one degree away from the next installment of their iconic square with each other, become exactly square on November 1st, and then again on April 21st of 2014. While these fourth and fifth passes are not the final pair, they are perhaps the most intense. In the meantime, the lunations of this climactic end-of-year period, including the Last Quarter Moon of Christmas Day, December 25, feature an exacerbation of Uranus and Pluto in their revolutionary square alignment. We are in for a season of massive change, both individually and as a society, and no way around it.

Then, too, Mercury is just about to turn retrograde, and we are in for a particularly severe retrograde period since Mercury is in close parallel to Pluto as it stations on Monday, October 21st, and because Mercury conjuncts Saturn twice more in the course of its backward and then its recovery motion through Scorpio.

Jupiter's magical opportunity for you ~it's happening today!

Lia's picture

.....right now, in that gorgeous sky, Jupiter is making a decidedly magical contact with the most karmic point in the sky -- the Moon's South Node.. I don't want you to miss this!

As golden leaves fluttered over me, it hit me.  Tired by the late hour and repeated computer glitches, my brain had gone on automatic pilot last night.   I'd called the Jupiter-South Node contact a conjunction!

What's happening today is actually much more magical than a conjunction.  All the ease of a trine, the creativity of the sextile -- with even stronger impact.  This magical aspect is known as  a quintile, and it forms when two planets or points make a 52 degree aspect.

The beauty of astrology is that it shows us the intricate precision of the ways the Universe unfolds its evolutionary journey around us and within us.  The difference in a conjunction and a quintile is subtle, but profound.  It's important to me to do everything I can to share with you the magnificence of the ways the Cosmos is always supporting us, every minute.

These are unbelievably powerful times and it's almost more than we can take in at once.  The silver lining in my careless, fatigued error was the opportunity it created to spotlight today's truly magical energy, as we head into the breakthrough zone ahead.   All you have to do is be willing to receive!

Here's the scoop:

In a beautiful example of the pure grace he embodies, Jupiter is inviting you to release any old, outworn patterns that are inhibiting you from tapping the breakthrough energy heading straight towards you in the days and weeks ahead.

Are you ready for some eclipse magic? Eclipses are game-changers

Lia's picture

Around us and within us, our Cosmos is alive with the fierce, insistent energies of big change and deep transformation.  The Moon is waxing towards a potent Lunar Eclipse in Aries at 7:37 p.m. EDT Friday.

Eclipses are game-changers. They’re the Universe’s most dramatic way of bringing change into our world and our lives.  This one is aligning our right brains-- where 96% of all we know is stored, beneath the threshold of our conscious minds -- with all that's happened in the last two years.  It's calling us to break new ground in our relationships with ourselves, each other -- and Life.

A whole order of being will end with Friday night’s eclipse, and a new one will begin.  Between now and November 10, reality is being reshaped at the energetic level -- within you and around you.

The energy field is already live.  Around you and within you, the stage is being set:

* The Sun is getting closer and closer to the reversal of its magnetic poles.  This reboot of our Star's energy happens every 11 years -- and like everything else in our Universe, this time will be super-charged by the scale and scope of simultaneous energetic changes taking place.  While no on eknows exactly when the polarity reversal will happen, it's imminent.  The Sun has sent forth two M-class solar flares in the last two days, with a third expected tomorrow -- each one upleveling our vibrational frequency.

Lunar Eclipse in Aries ~ October 18th 2013

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends! (And a blessed Monday to all my friends around the world!)

We’ve got a couple of events happening in the next week but I wanted to take some time to talk about the Aries Lunar Eclipse that is happening on Friday. Some of you may have seen the post that I made last week on Facebook about some of my own self-reflections on the Eclipse and the nature of justice in my life. This is very much a theme that would help all of us to grow and create more peace in our lives.

So there are three things that we want to look at as we consider the energies of this Lunar Eclipse: the nature of a Lunar Eclipse, its position in the sign of Aries, and the condition of Aries’ ruler; Mars.

Highlighted Aspects this Week

TUE: Mars enters Virgo, Sun opposite Eris; WED: Chiron square Venus, Uranus trine Venus; THU: Chiron sesquisquare Sun; FRI: Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon 4:37pm PDT; SAT: Neptune opposite Mars

I’VE BEEN REVISITINGmy notes from my teleclass back in June, where we talked about planetary influences in the last six months of 2013. Here’s what I wrote in my script for October:

“October seems like a turning point month to me. An important shift is set to occur in the weeks leading up to the Lunar Eclipse on the 18th, a shift that marks the next step in our evolutionary process.”

Based on my own life and recent conversations with clients and friends, I would say there’s a strong sense of “turning point” in the air. Something is ready to shift.

THE ENERGIES seem to be swirling in place at the moment. What is happening is a clearing of lower vibrations from our emotional, mental and physical bodies. The result is that we are experiencing similar challenges and situations over and over as the energies circle around.

POWER PATH UDATE: OCTOBER FORECAST 2013 ~ Lena Stevens

The theme for October is RESET

There are two faces to this month's theme. The first one is the deconstruction, dissolving, taking offline, shutting down, turning off, letting go, letting down, and allowing things to fall apart.

The second is the re-booting, turning on, flipping the switch, restarting, reconstructing, solidifying, bringing online, resetting and refocus.

When the Internet goes down you often have to turn everything off, wait a bit and then turn it back on and reset. The same is true for a computer. When it does not function properly, it helps to quit out of the open programs and then shut it down and restart.

Individually and collectively we are carrying enormous energetic clutter and our psyches are attempting to manage and keep track of all the patterns and paradigms of our lives. We are energetically exhausted by the task. This month there is an opportunity to shut down and reboot the system, clearing out the old files and resetting the energy field in a new way and into a new paradigm.
