In Japan there was great saint, Hotei. He is known as the laughing saint. He lived a very strange life, not like a saint at all. He used to carry a big bag on his shoulder full of things - sweets, toys - for children. He would pass through the village and children would gather and Hotei would distribute whatever he had in his bag. Then he would beg from the shopkeepers, "Fill my bag again because in the next village children will be waiting for me."

His whole life he was doing only that. When he was dying he was asked, "Hotei, you have achieved .... You could have communicated to people."

He said, "I have been - but I decided to communicate with the uncorrupted, the children. Why bother about the corrupted? Somebody else who is better than me will take care of them. I am a simple man, I can deal only with children. I cannot argue. I can distribute sweets, I can distribute toys. I cannot give doctrines and dogmas and theologies. That is not my business. And I have done my work, I am perfectly satisfied. I have sown the seeds; they will grow in their own time."

And it is said that each village through which Hotei had passed - after his death, in all those villages saints started springing up. Those small children were now becoming mature, young people. Hotei had not said anything to them, but he must have infected them in some way. He was contagious, and children are most impressionable. But it all depends, in that state; nobody can tell you to become a Hotei, and if you try to, it won't be the real thing.

Of course, you do not want to pretend your feelings relative to the Existence of Life – your life -- as if it were pie in the sky and there is nothing to it. At the same time, you don't have to take life so seriously as you may presently. You don't have to point out all the flaws. You don't have to take a mistake so seriously and fatefully as you may, whether it is your error or another's, or an error you might attribute to Me.

Life is not always a lark. This is not a secret. At the same time, you are alive. You have the Gift of Life. You are alive! Life is a good thing indeed to be grateful for.

Life is not medicine. Life is not always bitter-tasting. Give life half a chance to be, at the least, pleasant. The Truth is that most of the time life supports you. Life does its best for you all the time, yet you don't always see this.

When something deeply unwanted hits you, it is a blow. It does you in. It hits you hard. Not all the good times in life can possibly seem to compensate you for what has happened that is too terrible to contemplate. You don't know how to take it on the chin.

Do your suffering. Do your cries of "How could this happen?" Life is capable of many things. We can say that Life has a special license.

You may never in your gut get over what has befallen. It is understood that you can't just snap out of it. At the same time, all your protests, all the injustice, all the happenstance do not help anyone, least of all you, the one who is suffering, perhaps, the most.

When you are willingly harnessing the energies that come from the natural rhythm of ebb and flow by accepting yourself as a beloved and integral part of the whole, ease must naturally follow.

We ask you to identify one thing you could do today to allow more ease in your life and then love yourself enough to accept that you are worthy and deserving of the receiving of that flow. Everybody here is trying to make existence poor. The scientists are trying to make it poor by saying that it is only matter and nothing else. The religious people are trying to do the same by saying it is only God, nothing else; only the soul, nothing else. These people who are trying to prove that existence is only one-dimensional are wrong. Why make existence so poor? It is multi-dimensional.

One thing may be true in one dimension, and may not be at all applicable in another dimension.

One thing may be right in one dimension, may become wrong in another dimension.

Make Your Heart as Good as New

Your heart is your door-opener, and yet, as it is, the door of your heart also finds occasions when it closes. Please know that I understand. You have your own vision as you see it. When your heart feels trammeled, you don't know how to survive and to keep your heart stay open at the same time. It is natural and understandable for you to withdraw. It is easy to see how you feel, in effect, that you see no other choice but, perhaps on occasion, to run for your life.

Let's find a way to save your heart, your ideas, your way of being in the world, and still go forward. Where your heart gets hurt, what possibilities are there where you can get past the hurt and make your heart as good as new?

Please know I understand that there are times when you have to go a different way. Perhaps under the present circumstances, you are not heard. Your needs are not heard. If the topic at hand is your priority, of course, it is difficult for you to go on when your heart feels overlooked and indeed may be overlooked.

What does start over mean? If the people who you are currently working together with cannot hear you, maybe give these co-workers another try. If understanding opens up, this is good, and it feels good. If you still feel constrained, then you still have a choice. You have a choice to move on in fairness to all.

72 Bombs a Day - How the U.S. Spreads Democracy and Freedom

Among the many other landmark events that took place in 2016, the United States military dropped a whopping 26,171 bombs in foreign nations. This is hardly good news for those on the receiving end, and as conflict spreads in the Middle East and government pushes for all out war with Russia and China, ordinary Americans, those who foot the war bill with tax money, have some soul-searching to do.

Are the values this nation was founded on best shared with the world through violence and destruction? Has American ingenuity in all matters of science and productivity been eclipsed by out capacity to exert the will of the oligarchy though police actions and indiscriminate bombing? Is there ever a moment when enough is enough, and we admit that bombing people doesn’t create peace or achieve the aspirations of a free and moral people?

Disclosure Coming? Chilean Navy Releases Stunning UFO Footage

For the past two years, Chilean authorities have been studying a video from the Navy that captured incredible footage of an unidentified flying object (UFO). Now, that video is being released to the public.

The CEFAA studies unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) and is the governmental agency in charge of the investigation. The CEFAA has committees that are comprised of military experts, technicians and academic experts from a range of different fields. The director of CEFAA, General Ricardo Bermúdez said of the investigation:

“We do not know what it was, but we do know what it was not.”

On November 11th, 2014, a Chilean helicopter was flying a routine daytime patrol mission when the two pilots spotted a mysterious object that appeared to be flying around the same speed as them (150mph) at a distance of about 35-40 miles away.

The pilots then contacted radar stations nearby to report the unknown flying object. Both radar stations didn’t detect the object (but did detect the helicopter) and confirmed that no military or civilian aircraft had been reported in the area and that no aircraft had been authorized to fly in the controlled space where the mysterious object was located.
