Mexico Considering Legalizing Cannabis To Weaken Drug Cartels

Later this month, the supreme court of Mexico will review the country’s current prohibition of marijuana, as well as the possibility of legalizing the plant for medical and recreational use. Medical marijuana is currently legal in Mexico, but the black market drug trade in the country continues to cause widespread violence, drug cartel, and gang activity, just as it does in America.

Marijuana legalization has traditionally been a very popular concept in Mexico, where people understand the real-life consequences of the drug war and prohibition. However, the United Nations has forced many countries around the world, including Mexico, to comply with the drug prohibition policy the United States government has championed.

Now, with many U.S. states choosing to legalize the plant, Mexico is seeing a window of opportunity to change the laws at home, keep non-violent offenders out of jail, and minimize the violence created by the black market.

Grassroots Revolution Towards a Holistic and Creative Educational System

By Lance Schuttler
Guest Writer for Wake Up World

“Reform is not enough anymore. Because that’s simply improving a broken model. What we need, and the word’s been used many times in the course of the past few days, is not evolution, but a revolution in education. This has to be transformed into something else.” – Sir Ken Robinson

Mr. Robinson spoke these words in his popular 20-minute TedTalk entitled, “Bring On The Learning Revolution”, which is embedded below. This is one of the best lectures on a topic that so desperately needs addressed in our world and I recommend it to anyone.

The current educational system, which stresses compartmentalization and standardized testing, is limiting the inherent abilities we all possess. It’s as if the educational system is simply set up in a way that directs us only to memorize and regurgitate rather than question, express, connect, and create. We are taught to fall in line and adhere to “The Matrix” rather than being our unique, authentic selves.

The Trap of Debt Economics

By Alan Adaschik
Guest Writer for Wake Up World

Money is a medium of exchange and the study of its use is called economics. In days gone by bartering was the order of the day. If you had corn and wanted wheat, and I had wheat and wanted corn, we would decide how much of one commodity was equivalent to the other and make an exchange on this basis. However, bartering is an awkward process because of the unwieldy items and commodities involved. Obviously, exchanges of goods would be facilitated if people used something less cumbersome as a medium of exchange such as gold or silver. If I grow wheat, by exchanging my wheat for gold it will allow me to obtain other things more conveniently when I want them. Thus metals like gold and silver became our first widely used mediums of exchange.

Boundaries

What do you do if someone has hurt your feelings or violated a boundary you have set for yourself?  The most important thing to remember is that your energy has played a part in the situation.  This is not saying that you are wrong….it is saying that you have a choice on how to react to it.  Was it an honest mistake?  Then take a deep breath and forgive the situation.  However, if you choose to set a boundary, allow others violate it, then loudly proclaim your hurts only to do it again keeps you in the same space you were in the beginning.  Remember, growth begins with you…..just do it. ~ Creator

Triple Water Astrology – The Critical Degree! Weekly Horoscope – Week Starting Friday, October 23, 2015

moon%20goddess

Please like my page at http://www.facebook.com/triplewaterastrology!

The new week starts with Sun in the intense zero degree of Scorpio. That is a very INTENSE place in the zodiac for the Sun, and he conjuncts Apollon, also at 0 Scorpio, on October 23. Apollon in the heart of the Sun has potential as a most enjoyable experience. Learning, teaching, images of magnetic and mysterious famous people, and multiplication of wealth are potent themes dominating the transits for a short time at the beginning of the week. Looking good and being seen, showing personal charm, and letting your light shine intensely and brightly is an uplifting theme that starts the week. (Credit to astrologer Eileen Nauman for ideas about Apollon.)

Very appropriately and timely this week, with the Sun in Scorpio ingress, is Pluto in Capricorn aspecting five planets, additionally aspecting the Moon during brief periods, including a square to Moon in Aries on October 25, and also squaring Juno (asteroid lady). Pluto has a feel of being “all things to all people” this week. He makes a harmonious trine to his aggressive soldier, Mars; he’s expanded by the same aspect to Jupiter; Venus’ ease also links harmoniously with Pluto’s magnetic power; and Pluto is at the focal point of a cardinal t-square with Mercury and Mercury’s tutor, Uranus, literally introducing “brainpower” into the mix of energies in the transits this week. (Juno – relatedness – is conjunct Mercury and therefore she also squares Pluto.) No doubt that use of keen perspectives and transformation of self, others, and situations top the list of themes in the transits this week, particularly pertaining to public life, career, and the formation of structure, with Pluto in Saturn’s domain, Capricorn.

Who Needs Love the Most?

God said:

I hear your heart before you speak it:

“Beloved God, please take me into Your heart. Help me to feel You in my heart so that I never let You out of my heart. Fill my heart with Your capacity for love.

“If I am to love, it is through You. There is nothing without You. I’ve already been without You, and there is nothing there. Without You, life is empty of Fullness. You are love, and I also am to be love as You are love. I, too, am to love everyone.

“Even those who hurt others – I am to love. What heals but love? If I want the world to be a better place, if I really do, instead of pointing out the faults of others, I am to rise above the faults of others. I am to love even those who disdain the value of human life. They need my love most of all. Who needs Good Will the most? Those with rich hearts, or those with flagging hearts or cruel hearts? Which am I when I do not love?

“Just as water fills the lowest river bed, so is my heart to give love to those who follow ignorance. God, help me so emanate love wherever it is needed.

“I say this as if I were wise, God, yet I have been unable to follow what I know to be wise. Even in small things, petty things, I have not been able to live up to what I know. Especially in small petty things. Because of some little peeve, I shut my heart down. I know better how to live, yet I shut my heart down as if the one who peeves me deserves my holier-than-thou heart. Forgive me, God, I have been chintzy with love I am meant to share.

You're It

God
Disguised
As a myriad of things and
Playing a game
Of tag

Has kissed you and said,
“You’re it-

I mean you’re really IT!”

Now
It does not matter
What you believe or feel

For something wonderful,

Major-league Wonderful
Is someday going
To

Happen.

Society is going to be offended if we want to change the society, if we want to change the mind of the society. People don't leave their old minds easily. They have invested so much in it, how can they leave it so easily? They will be offended.

VIDEO: The Billboard in Peru Sucks Water Out of the Air to Grow Vegetables

The river water in the farming region of Bujama in Lima, Peru, is so heavily polluted with metals such as lead, arsenic and cadmium, that growing vegetables in the area become heavily contaminated.

Engineering students at Lima’s University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC) have dubbed their invention the “air orchard”

This ingenious device is fitted with 10 de-humidifiers that filter water from the air into a drip irrigation system connected to an urban farm on the ground below.
