Why A Wandering Mind Is An Unhappy One (4 Easy Ways To Be More Present)

What Is Grounding?

When I refer to grounding, I am referring to the act of planting your two feet firmly on the ground and being completely present in the moment. When we worry or overthink things, are stressed, or work with technology too much, we can sometimes “unground” ourselves. Meaning, we disconnect from the present moment and “float” in our imaginations.

We unground ourselves as a means of escaping the everyday for one reason or another. Sometimes we escape into our imaginations when we’re worrying about something or doing something we don’t enjoy, or simply because we are overwhelmed by the task at hand.

Being ungrounded can create feelings of anxiety, brain fog, confusion, or tiredness.

Why We Need To Ground

We are here on this Earth for a reason. We need to take part in our existence actively. An interesting study was published by Harvard University a few years ago where the participants were asked various questions at random points during the day to determine whether their mind was wandering, if they were daydreaming about a pleasant or negative topic, and what their happiness levels were at the time.

The Astral Manipulation of the Collective Unconsciousness

The astral realm may seem like some vague, faraway place, but it's actually far closer than you think. In fact, the majority of people spend most of their waking hours living halfway within the astral plane without even realizing it.

Your mind isn't separate from all the other minds in the world, and your mind is itself part of the astral plane. All minds exist in a subset of the astral called the mental realm. When you focus upon the “past”, your consciousness shifts to a part of the astral realm that stores memories, and there's a collective aspect of this called the Akashic Records. When you focus upon the “future”, you project yourself onto the astral and you visualize your desires in your own little section of it.

There's much talk about the Collective Consciousness, which is a very wonderful thing where everyone can work together to manifest beautiful dreams. Only problem is that it requires Consciousness, something collectively lacking at the moment. Instead, most people operate through the collective unconsciousness, a kind of nightmare where people work together to manifest what they don't want. The collective unconsciousness is full of struggle, pain and conflict, which is reflected in the life of the individual. Nobody really suffers alone either, you carry the whole of Humanity along with you, in both suffering and in joy.

Remote Viewing Revelations From the US Military to the British MoD

Louis Proud, New Dawn
Waking Times

Surprising new evidence reveals that the British Government showed an active interest in using psychics for espionage purposes. In a document obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by UFO author and investigator Timothy Good, it was discovered that the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) undertook a study between 2001 and 2002 to investigate the efficiency of remote viewing.

For those who don’t know, remote viewing – also called ‘travelling clairvoyance’ – is the ability to perceive places, persons and actions using psychic means. As is now well known, the US Army and various other tax payer supported government agencies, including the CIA, investigated and utilised remote viewing during the 1970s and 1980s.

What Happens To Your Brain When You Fall in Love

The human brain is an exquisitely sensitive instrument. It registers the slightest nuance of any experience you have ever had. This is no more evident than in love. Imagine someone whispering, “I love you.” In romantic terms these are desirable words – probably the most desirable any of us will ever hear.

The brain responds to ‘I love you” with an orchestration of positive reactions. People who are in love feel less stressed; their blood pressure goes down. When a couple who enjoys a long-term loving marriage hold hands, even their response to physical pain is strengthened.

These points and others in the same vein were detailed in a recent New York Times opinion piece called “The Brain on Love” by writer-poet Diane Ackerman. We found it an empathic article, one that celebrates human bonding from the first moment a newborn baby imprints on its mother. Bonding takes place via complex brain mechanisms that follow us throughout our lives.

Why Not Making Mistakes Is The Biggest Mistake

We all make mistakes when pursuing goals or creating new habits.  Whether it’s adding in more exercise, controlling our road rage, or not eating a handful of Reese’s Pieces before a meal (yes, that last one just happened), we all have slips when we’re trying to make changes.

I’m not going to go into some overplayed spiel on how we are too hard on ourselves or how we need to work on self-forgiveness. All that’s true, but you already know it and I don’t see the point in writing it.

I think fuckups are the best thing that ever happened. In fact, it’s better to set a goal and fumble along the way than to achieve it perfectly. Why? Because:

  1. No goal worth achieving should be that easy to do. If you can do it perfectly, it’s not the right goal. Willpower alone isn’t enough to get the good stuff. Take a risk and think big.

8 Signs You’re More Spiritual Than You Think!

Do you think that you have to be far removed or disconnected from the world to be spiritual?

Do you think that you need to have achieved some sort of spiritual awakening or moment of euphoric bliss and enlightenment to be considered a “spiritual person”?

Do you think that you need to attend hours of church or practice daily meditation in order to connect with yourself and the divine?

These are just a few of the questions most people will ask themselves at some point in their lives and the worst part? People will start to give up on spirituality because they think that they couldn’t possibly shift their entire life to fit in to the “spiritual category”

Thankfully, as we know in life, its the small things that matter most.

Doing Yoga Changes The Way Your Brain Handles Pain

Source: www.upliftconnect.com | Original Post Date: June 3, 3015 –

A New Study shows link between Yoga Practise and increased Pain Tolerance

Sometimes, after spending hours at the computer, I have a deep resistance to doing yoga or any kind of stretching. Mainly because my body hurts from sitting. That’s exactly why doing a little yoga is exactly what my body is crying out for. I can’t go from the office to the yoga mat right away; I need to go on a walk preferably in nature, but sometimes to a local pastry shop. Regardless, just getting out and walking helps me re-inhabit my body after being immersed in work that emphasizes mental focus and a certain level of dissociation from my physical body. Yoga practitioners have known all along but finally science is recognizing that a body-centered practice reduces pain and increases overall health.
