As we’ve come to discover time and time again, many secrets hide behind Hollywood’s glamorous doors. Actor Elijah Wood’s recent remarks on Monday about the realities of child star sexual abuse in the industry offer us yet another glimpse behind the curtain.

The interview, given to The Sunday Times to promote upcoming movie The Trust, took a dark turn when the topic of child stars and pedophilia arose. “There are a lot of vipers in this industry, people who only have their own interests in mind. There is darkness in the underbelly,” he told the interviewer.

“What bums me about these situations is that the victims can’t speak as loudly as the people in power,” Wood continued. “That’s the tragedy of attempting to reveal what is happening to innocent people: They can be squashed, but their lives have been irreparably damaged.”

The interview prompted international attention and a slew of questions regarding Wood’s heavy words, which caused the actor to put out a statement clarifying his comments.

Chicago, IL – It was recently reported that the Chicago Police Department has implemented an Orwellian new program that targets innocent citizens based on indicators that they might be a person who has the potential to carry out a crime. Similar to dystopian films like The Minority Report, a complex computer algorithm will track and catalog every citizen in the city, and use private data about each person to determine whether or not they could be a potential criminal.

Once an innocent civilian has been labeled as a threat, they are then notified that they have been marked as a potential criminal and that they are now under police surveillance.

This disturbing program has quietly been in place for over three years, and in that time, government agents have visited the homes of more than 1,300 innocent people who had high numbers on the list, to inform them that they are now regarded as potential criminals. According to the New York Times, Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson says that officials this year are stepping up those visits, with at least 1,000 more people.

“We are targeting the correct individuals. We just need our judicial partners and our state legislators to hold these people accountable,” Johnson insisted.

These are called the chakras, which are like wheels of energy that correspond with certain organs and glands, as well as mental, emotional, and physical states.

When a chakra is working properly, energy should move freely into it and freely out of it. It naturally takes in that which it needs and releases that which it does not. But sometimes traumas can cause the heart chakra to malfunction.

When the energy flow of the heart chakra is impeded, you may hang on to a lot of heavy emotions and have a difficult time moving forward. It can also be difficult to let new people into your life (as new people represent new energy) because you have not fully let go of the past (old energy that needs to be released).
