How Reiki Changes my Life

I pulled a card today. (It was the Knight of Cups, in case you're interested, this same card was pulled on 2/2. There is a reading for that day.) I couldn't connect to get anything written for it. I was guided to write this instead. 

This is my "reiki story." It changes my life each and every day, always in an unexpected way.

 

My Reiki journey started while we were searching for honeymoon spots. As soon as we came across the page for Tree Spirit, my (then soon to be) husband and I knew that was the one. Advertised as a “’old island’ style beach cottage”, it boasted no TV, no phone, no clocks. You came there to be there. Perfect! Not to mention it was treated energetically with Reiki, crystals and other ineffable resources. At the time, I had no idea what any of that meant, which is kind of funny to think about now. I did a quick internet search about Reiki, but I only came back with a very, very basic concept of what Reiki is.

The Tower

In this card we see a tower being struck with lightning and 2 beings falling out of the tower. (Remind you of anything?) This is a card of massive change. And even if you can't see it happening in your physical world it is most definitely happening at other levels. The Change indicated with this card is sudden. It is not a gradual change whatsoever. Change is scary for a lot of people, and at the rate things are going it can be downright terrifying. The most important thing is to stay grounded and present. None of these changes will be negatory, even though they may seem that way at first. Be calm, and have faith that everything will fall into place as it should.

A famous movie a couple years back exploded the Law of Attraction all over the Internet and started the New Age revolution in conscious creation. The Law of Attraction is a Universal Law that states `like energy attracts like energy’. In other words, this law has a boomerang effect attracting into your living experience that which you give out. The term the Bible uses is that you `reap what you sow’.

 

The movie states that what you think about, you create. And if you add your feelings and emotion to the equation, you create your living experience. The Law is always working for you, whether you are aware of it or not. What you are experiencing depends largely on the level of vibrational energy you are sending out there into All That Is, or the Universe as it is called in the movie. So if you are not living the life of your dreams, it may be time to look at lifting your vibration.

Daily Tarot Reading ~ 2/17/13

 

I've mentioned before that Cups are the suit of emotions and feelings -- basically anything that happens in your inner state is represented by this suit. It is associated with the element of water. Court cards also have a specific meaning. Pages are like a playful child - acting with pleasure, spontonaeity and a symbol of adventure and possibilities.

We've been taking an adventure inside of ourselves lately, to clear out any remaining "gunk" - you know, the stuff that no longer serves you. Old belief patterns, relationships, habits or routines, etc. It's time now to love ourselves in spite of all of that. Accept ourselves for what we are and work on improving the items we do not like. You CANNOT do this for anyone except yourself. "Be the change" as Gandhi would say. The Page of Cups could indicate an opening in your life which will call to it. If you're worried you will miss it - you won't be able to ignore it. This opportunity will pull at your heartstrings and your emotions until you act on it. Don't be afraid to, please! It could also indicate that there is a child or young at heart adult whose interactins with you involve emotional needs, moodiness, love, intimacy or spirituality. REgardless, the Page of Cups reminds us that at all times, we are surrounded with great Love. Don't be afraid to express and enjoy yourself!
