Hugo Chavez Chemotherapy: Venezuela Says President Receiving Treatment For Cancer Again

CARACAS, Venezuela -- President Hugo Chavez has been receiving chemotherapy since recovering from a severe respiratory infection in mid-January and "continues his battle for life," his vice president said late Friday.

Vice President Nicolas Maduro suggested the chemotherapy was continuing in the government's first mention of it as among treatments that Venezuela's cancer-stricken president has received since his Dec. 11 cancer surgery in Cuba.

MIDLAND, Texas  — A severe winter storm, which brought 19 inches of snow to some areas of West Texas, delivered something entirely different to one homeowner.

Winds in excess of 60 mph that accompanied Winter Storm Rocky on Monday pushed hundreds of tumbleweeds against a Midland home.

Sculptor Fran Volz uses a clay model to create a a 7 1/2 feet tall snow sculpture of Jesus Christ in the yard of his home in Elgin, Ill.

ELGIN, Ill. (AP) — A passer-by stops in his tracks and dials a friend to tell him he must come to this Wellington Street address to see Jesus. He is emphatic.

"You gotta get here," he insists.
