Guantánamo judge makes secret ruling on secret motion in secret hearing

During a secret hearing at Guantánamo, the military judge in the 9/11 death-penalty case ruled against a secret government request to withhold information from defense lawyers for accused Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his four alleged co-conspirators, according to a partially redacted transcript released Tuesday.

The hearing, held Aug. 19 at the U.S. Navy base in Cuba, was the first closed pre-trial hearing of the Sept. 11 capital case. The subject matter was so secret that the judge cleared the court of the public and the five men who, if convicted, could be executed for conspiring to carry out the worst attack on U.S. soil, including 2.976 counts of murder.

NSA posed as Google to spy on web users

In order to pose as Goggle and fool web users, the NSA used the ‘man in the middle’ (MITM) hack attack, a technique through which the US spy agency circumvents encryption by redirecting users to a copycat site which passes on all the data entered by users to NSA data banks.

The leaked document was among data released by Brazilian TV network Globo News based on classified information provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden, RT reported.

An Italian MP has described the 9/11 terrorist attacks, in which around 3,000 people were killed, as “an inside job” and slammed the official version of events as a “conspiracy”.

Paolo Bernini, an MP for the Five Star Movement (M5S) was speaking in parliament on Wednesday, the 12th anniversary of the attacks.

He said that the official version of the event has been “proved wrong from every point of view”.

“It’s clearly false and by now, the world has realized.”

On 11th September 2001 terrorists hijacked four planes in the US; two crashed into New York’s World Trade Centre, another struck the Pentagon in Washington, while the fourth crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers fought against the hijackers.

The administration of US President Barack Obama shares with Israel the raw intelligence data vacuumed up by country’s National Intelligence Agency without even taking out the information about the American public and even government officials, according to a newly-leaked document.


A copy of a top secret agreement, signed in 2009 and provided by the American whistleblower Edward Snowden, shows that the NSA “routinely” passes to its Israeli counterpart, the Israeli Signals-intelligence National Unit (ISNU), the vast digital data it gathers under secret court authority from US Internet providers.

Elizabeth O’Bagy, who had claimed to be the think tank’s Syria expert, did not have a doctorate from Georgetown University, and had links with militants in Syria, according to media reports.

Circuit judge Jay Bybee said: "Even if it is commonplace for members of the general public to connect to a neighbour's unencrypted wi-fi network, members of the public do not typically mistakenly intercept, store, and decode data transmitted by other devices on the network."

"The court made clear that federal privacy law applies to residential wi-fi networks," said Marc Rotenburg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center.
