It’s good to accept life as it comes. Fighting life is pretty much a losing battle. Maybe you shouldn’t have been let go from your job. Maybe your dear friend should not have died. Maybe you should be taller. The deed was done. The odds of recovering your job, your friend coming back to life, and your growing taller may be slim. Not everything is in your hands. How you take the news is in your hands.

If you cannot accept life as it comes, will you allow it? You don’t have to fight the past. Pretty much you have to take life as it comes whether you like it or not. If you can be a good sport in a team game, you can be a good sport with life. Of course, you can grumble, yet where does that get you?

You don’t have to understand life. Certainly, you won’t, at least not at every turn.

What does it mean, God First? Does it mean to drop everything and do nothing but think God? Indeed, there could be a few who have this as their route, perhaps destined from birth. This route is not likely to be yours.

Certainly, your thoughts may be on Me which is the same as to say your thoughts are on the Highest, for Love is the Highest. That which you call Good is the Highest, yet what is good depends upon your perception.

Giving is the Highest, yet not always. Giving away may not be the Highest. Giving away may be an easy way out and not the Highest. It all depends, and that is the world you live in. It is called the relative world. Saying relative world is another way to say that it depends. It depends on your Willingness, and it depends upon your Motive, and it depends upon you-know-not-what.

There is something to be said about your taking pleasure where you find it, yet that is not to say that I am suggesting you eat a whole box of chocolates nor am I suggesting that you take pleasure in pulling the wool over someone’s eyes. I believe in truthfulness and trust. I ask you to be a trustworthy person whose word means what it says. Let Me declare today that I believe ordinary truth in the world is the path for all to travel. You were not born to mislead anyone.

It will be a great relief to you when your word is your bond. Uppermost is that you are honest with yourself.

For you to be in your truth is a lot simpler than not to be in your truth. Untruth is shaky ground. Truth is solid ground.

Beloveds, you have many questions to ask, and many answers you want. Sometimes you are clear, and sometimes you are not.

If your car is stuck in mud, you may ask Me to get you out, yet I bet you a million dollars you don’t sit there waiting for Me to get you out. I bet you do something about getting out of the mud yourself, if only with a phone call or digging your car out with a shovel yourself. You do something.

In other areas of life, you don’t know where to begin. You are stuck in a different way.

There is a theory that everything that is written, that everything that happens was destined to happen. Sometimes it certainly seems this way. Not always, but sometimes, sometimes often, it appears that two people, for instance, were fated to meet and marry, whether the marriage works out or not. We have talked about this before, Destiny vs. Free Will. Perhaps Free Will is your Destiny, or Destiny is your Free Will.
