So much of what occurs in the world depends upon your view of the world. There, I have said it.

There is a tendency for the children of My heart to feel that they are inconsequential. I understand that the world may overlook you. The world can and too often does, but that’s the world for you, and so feel overlooked, unnoticed, unimportant if you must. However, I AM your Creator. The world is not to recreate you. I created you, and now you create your own view of the world and your place in it.

I tell you that you have a prominent place in the world. I am not feeding your ego. I would not feed your ego. What am I saying has nothing to do with ego. It has to do with your Spirit, and it has to do with your responsibility. Don’t feel burdened by the thought that you play an important part in the world. You can hold the world up instead of putting it down.

Do you have to suffer? Because there is a storm, must you tremble? What is this so-called suffering but a label? Call it suffering, loss, pain, fear and call it no more. It is you who comes to the conclusion that your lot is to suffer. In life, the world and you have tied a lot of things together. You made decisions. You link two or more occurrences together. Oh, yes, you link cause and effect.

Because one thing is so, you have drawn a conclusion that another thing must also tag along with it and be so. Your mind says: “This or that happened. Therefore, I have to linger over the thought of it and call this suffering or anguish or tragedy.” Why must you? Because the world has been doing it ever since you remember or have heard of? Does that make sense to you?

It may seem to you as if your life – everyone’s life – is a roll of the dice. In some ways, it certainly seems so. At the same time, your very own thoughts are motivators of your life. The beautiful and the tragic may both seem as though they dropped from the sky, and, truly, miracles do happen. By and large, the tenor of your thoughts brings much of what may seem to you to be tricks of fate.

Sometimes, life is like your bank statement. Your bank statement may amaze or startle you. You wonder how you got such a great balance, or you wonder what happened to all you had. Most of the time you weren’t keeping track. It usually turns out that you forgot a transaction or two you made.

Whatever person you may feel superior to at any given moment, you may be sure that there is an area where that offending person exceeds you. If you happen to think the person is not so smart, there is an area where he is smarter than you. This is always the case. This can take many forms. The other may be superior to you in that he doesn’t look for fault. He may be superior to you in that he likes you.

Facts are facts, of course. Nevertheless, what are you doing spending your time and energy on perceiving lesser areas in another. There are better uses of your time, your mind, your heart and so forth. Certainly, you have something worth putting your attention on. How little you may think of another is not one of them.

Indeed, someone may indeed have weaknesses you see, of course, and so do you have weaknesses that you may not see. In this case, arrogance may be a weakness within you that you don’t want to look at.

What are these, the cares of the world that hang over you? What does not hang over you in your day to day life. You have said that you are not made for this demanding life, that you are made for better things, that you are better than this, better than at the mercy of the details and obligations of life. You are quite right.

Pass through these many disturbances. Do not collect them. They are not collectibles. Not at all. Why are you collecting them then? Why inhale every little thing that would like to stick to you?

If you have attached one-hundred decals to you, peel them off now. And don’t paste them on to you again, not even for one moment. Whatever accrues to you, you are the accruer.
