Like a Thousand Stars

Feeling sorry for yourself supports the idea of being a victim. There is more to life than being a victor or a victim. One of two ways is not the way to look at life. Life is not a question of Mine or thine. Life is not a question of kill or be killed. Life is not a question of right or wrong. Life usually isn’t so clear as a Yes or a No. Alas, what are opposites but judgment whether of another or yourself? There is no scale sensitive enough to weigh wonderfulness or lack of wonderfulness.

Either/or exists in life in the world. In the world, something is or it is not. In Truth, there are ripples of opportunity. Either/or is fiction. Between black and white, there are many shades of color. This is where understanding comes into the picture.

Good and bad are not so structured as the world would have them. What is mercy but seeing more possibilities? What is understanding but understanding greater than opposites? That which is called wrong action – what is it but misunderstanding or lack of understanding? In the darkness of viewpoint, it is so easy to mistake a tree for a goblin.

It is better to include than exclude. Whenever you feel yourself dismissing someone or something, pause and think again how this serves you, the seeming other, and the world. Or does it serve judgment?

There is intention. You do not always see what another intends. Another is not always himself aware of what he intends.

In that ultimate knowing, there is nobody who knows and nobody who is known. The division between the subject and the object disappears; there is nobody who knows and nobody who is known. The knower becomes the known. Yes, there is a kind of awareness, but it is neither subjective nor objective. It is "transjective"; it is transcendental to both.

How to Discover Who You Really Are

Who You Really Are

Who am I?

Everyone says that you should just ‘be yourself’ but what does that even mean? What does being yourself really feel like?

The only way to know how to be yourself, is to understand who you are at your deepest, core level.

Who you are is not your job, your name or the labels you have given yourself through the years. Who you are is underneath all of that, and here is how to discover it:

1.) What Makes You Feel Most Alive?

Cooking and Eating as Meditation

Busy people often try to eat quickly. But one monk in Tokyo thinks busy people should take their time to take slow meals, as eating slowly can give them a good opportunity to reflect on themselves. We talked with “cooking monk” Kakuho Aoe about his ideas on slow meals, which have roots in Japanese Buddhist cuisine, and how he reached his unique perspective.

"Cooking monk"

Aoe is a Buddhist monk of the Pure Land sect and the 14th-generation priest at Ryokusenji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. He cooks and serves his take on vegetarian food called “shojin ryori,” which monks at Buddhist temples developed over time. He has published numerous recipe books and held regular events such as “Kurayami gohan” (meaning “Diner in the dark” in Japanese), where participants experience eating their meals in the darkness. Aoe hopes that these special eating experiences provide participants with opportunities to realize what they have been ignoring during their hectic daily lives.

8 Simple Steps to Forgive Even the Unforgivable

falling feather

Christina Sarich, Contributor
Waking Times

Stopping the inner rage of unforgiveness can be easier than you think.

Are you feeling resentment? Pain? Anguish? Perhaps even fury? It doesn’t matter if your emotions are directed at the general idiocy of a government that seems bought-out by an elitist class, or a close friend or family member. It doesn’t matter if you are raging at a complete stranger on the road, in a moment that dissipates fairly quickly, or if you are dealing with years of abuse or emotional torment. Forgiveness is a spiritual act that requires us to see things differently than we do now.

It doesn’t seem to be so when we are thinking of the wrong another has done to us, or the hurt they’ve so carelessly lavished, but forgiveness can free us from even the most unforgivable acts. Many of us hold onto our anger in hopes that this emotion will somehow anchor in some Universal Justice – as if our teeth gritting, and brow furrowing can somehow balance the teetering scales of righteousness in the world.

Transcendent Sex — How Sexuality Can Generate Higher States of Consciousness

By Steve Taylor Ph.D
Guest writer for Wake Up World

Because of its allegedly pornographic content, D.H. Lawrence’s novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover wasn’t published until 33 years after his death, in 1963. But far from being pornographic, the book is about the spiritual power of sex, how it can free us from our usual sense of separateness and bring us a heightened awareness and sense of connection to the world. Lawrence spoke of “the strange, soothing flood of peace, the sense that all is well, which goes with true sex.” And in the novel he describes how Lady Chatterley’s vision of the world is completely transformed when she’s walking home after making love to her gamekeeper:

“The trees seemed to be bulging and surging, at anchor on a tide, and the heave of the slope of the park was alive… The universe ceased to be the vast clock-work of circling planets and pivotal suns which she had known. The stars opened like eyes, with a consciousness in them, and the sky was filled with a soft, yearning stress of consolation. It was not mere atmosphere. It had its own feeling, its own anima. Everything had its own anima.”

ReVOLUTION: When Enough is Enough

ReVOLUTION - When Enough Is Enough

By Jack Adam Weber L.Ac., Dipl. C.H.
Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

“We humans must learn we are not separate from the earth and all it’s inhabitants — the land that we walk upon and the waters that we drink. When we show respect and care for that which sustains life, we learn that we will be taken are of. When we exploit, pollute, and destroy the environment, all this come full circle. That’s revolution . . .  in need of revolution.” ~ Summer Danner

I’ve been thinking about revolution for some time. I bet you have too. I mean just a few weeks ago a branch of the Florida state government banned the use of the words “climate change” and “global warming” by their staff. Oh yeah, that’ll make it all go away. Just when we need for people to be more aware of what is perhaps the most serious issue humanity has ever had to face, we get denial.

U.S. is Now Importing Organic Corn to Satisfy Consumer Demand

Organic Corn

Heather Callaghan, Contributor
Waking Times

There are three things driving a surge in organic imports:

  1. U.S. farmers have been systematically pushed into growing mostly GMO crops; grown primarily for fuel, animal feed and cheap processed foods. Russia even used our food supply as an example for the EU to dump us and join them instead.
  2. U.S. consumers are not only demanding fresh, organic produce as well as non-GMO convenience foods – but also want meat, dairy and eggs from animals that were fed non-GMO or organic feed.
  3. Other countries primarily grow non-GE crops, and plenty of organic. They’ve got the goods and they reap the benefits of trade.

New Mysterious Nazca Lines Uncovered In Peru

Source: www.themindunleashed.org | Original Post Date: August 10, 2014 –

New geoglyphs that had never been seen before were found in the Nazca desert. The discovery was made by pilot and researcher Eduardo Herrán Gómez de la Torre, who was flying over the hills of the El Ingenio Valley and Pampas de Jumana in the Nazca desert after a recent sandstorm uncovered them in July.

The largest geoglyph, which is about 200 feet (60 meters) long, seems to have a shape of a snake, while the others depict a bird, something that looks like a llama, and zig-zags.

Researchers believe that the newfound geoglyphs were created during the period between the Paracas and Nazca civilizations, which is still to be confirmed, writes the Peruvian newspaper El Comerico.

Daily Message ~ Friday April 17, 2015

As you are having a human experience, it is common to believe you are separate from Source. But in reality, you are a part of Source energy, and the separation is illusion. Simply ask to connect back to the energy of Home and feel the unconditional love wash over you. Know that you can move into that alignment whenever you choose, simply by intending to. See that the beauty of Source energy is everywhere, in a butterfly, in a flower, in a snowflake, in the songs of birds, in the rising sun, in the stars in the sky, and in the mirror. Source energy is the constant, it is all that is, and as you start to see it as where you came from, and that you are surrounded by it, you will start to live from a place of deep joy in the present moment, enjoying the connectedness and unconditional love that is always there for you. There is never, ever a time when you are not part of it all. ~Archangel Gabriel

16 Ideas For Raising Your Consciousness

Source: www.wakingtimes.com | Original Post Date: December 18, 2014 –

Some days feel quite ordinary. Other days become lifelong memories because they are truly extraordinary. What is the difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary? For many people, it is the ability to raise their consciousness to higher levels.

Here’s some good news: you can raise your consciousness to experience extraordinary days every day. With these steps, the ordinary, boring days will fade away and become no more.

1. Find a little time to begin meditation.

When you meditate, you’re creating an environment where you must raise your consciousness. At the start, this can be an uncomfortable experience because there are a lot of factors that will fight you. Your ego may get in the way or the worries of the day may try to flood your mind. Don’t get frustrated. Just allow these thoughts and feelings to ebb and flow like river rapids and pretty soon you’ll come out on the other side.

Aries New Moon

by Kathy Biehl

April 18, 2015

11:56 AM PDT / 2:56 PM EDT / 6:56 PM GMT

28 Aries 25

With the Aries New Moon, a spark is catching fire in each one of us. No matter how rocky the past six weeks have been, energy, motivation and just plain rambunctiousness are surging now.

No more hiding. No more wondering when, or whether, this most tenacious winter will finally be over. No more waiting for the ground to crack under you yet again, or for another shoe to fall, smack onto your head. It’s time to make like Fred Astaire singing to Ginger Rogers: “Pick yourself up, brush yourself off and start all over again.”

No one’s likely to go about this tentatively. Life force is roaring into full-throttle impulses, actions and reactions. The fuel will be all over the map: Anger. Frustration. Excitement. Adventure. Passion. Relief at seeing an opening, finally, and charging for it.
