Mending the World with the Glue that is Love

Many ways of meditation can take us into the heart space, and I have been experimenting with them for a long time. I had a guided experience that made a huge personal impact recently at a workshop with Viola Rose who teaches Drunvalo Melchizedek's material on going into the sacred space of the heart. She is a teacher from his School of Remembering which carries on his work as he is semi-retired and onto other discoveries.

Benefits of Living in the Heart

There is great value in living in the heart and it sounds cliché, so cliché that we may dismiss it. We miss something without the inquiry as to what this really means- to live in the heart. She explains the difference of living in the head (which most of us do much of the time) versus living in the heart. Living in the head for me can feel like I have certain pathways of thought that I travel over and over. It is not fun to be in this state and I am sure most everyone has experienced this. When it becomes neutral of emotion it is much easier for me to have obsessive thinking patterns. What I do is to simply acknowledge it which then allows me to let it go.

HOLLY IRENE SHOWCASED EVENT: LIVE PAINTING, SCULPTURE, ACOUSTIC MUSIC, & a KIDS ART TABLE for the MOUNT SHASTA 4th FRIDAY ART WALK!



"We are again excited to participate in the Mount Shasta 4th Friday Art Walk, and invite you to it Friday, June 24th! For this month's Art Walk, we are featuring the Artwork of Amanda Thomas, and she will be painting live, out-front. We are also featuring the Wire Wrap Tree Sculptures of Ancient Forest, and they will also be out-front, wrapping wire trees on-site. We loved having Live Acoustic Music and a Kids Art Table during last month's Art Walk, so we are doing it again this month! Musicians are invited to come and play for the Art Walk crowd, and "Kids of All Ages" are invited to participate at the Kids Art Table--just show-up! This month's Kids Art activity is "Cardboard Robots" from Ikko Eco Tanigawa. This community event is free & open to the public, 4-7pm. Picnic dinners & snacks are encouraged and welcome."

Intense energies continue to buffet the planet.  The Full Moon and Summer Solstice occur on the same day, June 20, the first time since 1967 – the summer of love.  The tremendous energy calls for us to let go –  let go of the past, let go of that which no longer serves us.  What no longer serves us can be many things,  like addictions, habits, grudges and beliefs, which are only that, beliefs.  It can include jobs, possessions and relationships.  It might be something that has been simmering at the bottom of your consciousness for quite some time,  that you finally need to resolve.
