Horizons: A Bridge Between Heaven and Earth

water sunset ocean sun beach horizon sea

“When we look up, it widens our horizons. We see what a little speck we are in the universe, so insignificant, and we all take ourselves so seriously, but in the sky, there are no boundaries. No differences of caste or religion or race.” ~ Julia Gregson

Ever felt so crushed and weighed down by an unknowable feeling of depression or as if your head were so stuffed with so many flies buzzing about up there it felt like a Wall Street crash at the height of panic? Quite often, the place we live has a much bigger impact on us than we might realize, and the thousand and one layers of electronic messages, the average humming chaos of the human mind; not to mention the historical memories of the land; the wars, times of conflict and invisible scars a place may carry, can often leave us responding to a web of energy that appears to have no place or resonance with our own agenda or the positive energy we desire to manifest.

Overcoming Big Brother’s Four-fold Ministry of Fail

wG31y

“If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they don’t want to hear.” –George Orwell

Orwell’s 1984 is one of the most influential novels of all time. In it he predicted with uncanny accuracy our current state of affairs. Big Brother has become a metaphor for the surveillance state erected around us without our permission.

In a true democracy, one actually ruled by the people, such an entity would never exist. But since we live in an oligarchy, and more specifically a paranoid plutocracy, we the people have no say, except when we join together in solidarity. In this article we will break down the four main culprits of the mass surveillance state, using the four overreaching and insidious tentacles of Big Brother as a metaphor, and see if there’s anything we can do to overcome them.

Energetic Blockages and Transmuting Fear Back into Love

energy-vibration

“If you wish to understand the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibrations.” – Nikola Tesla

On a quantum level we are all just energy. Our bodies are energy, our feelings are energy and our thoughts are energy. Although the Universe is neutral to all energy, meaning that no thought or emotion is technically “good” or “bad” in a moral sense, there are energies that are of a lower vibration and more dense.

So on one end of the spectrum we have high vibration or lighter energy which is energy that is based in “love” (or openness, expansion, acceptance) and on the other end of the spectrum we have the lower vibration which is energy that is heavier and based in “fear” (contraction, closed off, darker & more dense).

Jester Guru Chronicles, Part 2: Redefining God

>

“If God dwells inside us like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that’s what He’s getting” – Jack Handy

Today, using my seventh sense, I found a worm that had a god in it, and that god glared in at the god in me that had a worm in it. And it got me to questioning things: What is this drunken physiology; this aggrandized cell-tautology; this clockwork of blood and bone? What is this mechanism in my head, this impossible chimera, doing backflips in my skull? How can it even come close to being a thing that can comprehend such a concept as God?

And then I remember a quote by Goethe: “The highest to which man can attain is wonder.” And I think, maybe God is precisely this: wonder, imagination, curiosity, awe. But, then again, maybe not. And then I remember a quote by Paul Tillich: “There is a God behind the gods of men and women –one that can be experienced but not defined, and that makes all of our definitions woefully inadequate.” Bingo! Wait. What? We’re back to where we started? We sure are.

Attachments: Breaking Free from What’s Weighing You Down

identifying-attachments

“The root of suffering is attachment”- Buddha

Attachments come in many forms; so much so that there are probably hundreds of attachments you are holding on to right now that you had no idea even existed. They come in the form of anything from beliefs (about ourselves and others), expectations of how situations should go or ways people should behave, to more obvious things like relationships & material possessions.

Anytime we are dead set on something happening, or are holding on to an idea, belief or plan, or object so tightly that we are unable to entertain any other points of view or options of outcomes, this is an indication that we have formed an attachment.

What we may not realize, however, is that in doing so we are also setting ourselves up to experience some level of suffering...

5 Ways to Suffer More Successfully

“The obstacle is the path.” –Zen saying

“The obstacle is the path.” ~ Zen saying

“There are two ways to escape suffering in the Inferno. The first is easy: accept the inferno and become such a part of it that you can no longer see it. The second is risky and demands constant vigilance and apprehension: seek and learn to recognize who and what, in the midst of the Inferno, are not the Inferno, then help them endure, give them space.” ~ Italo Calvino

Pain is a natural part of life. There’s no way around it. When we don’t get what we want, we suffer. When we get what we want, we seem to always want more, and we suffer. When we are hungry, we suffer. Even when we fill up, we seem to always have our eye on our next fix, and so we suffer. But there are ways to experience pain in healthier ways. There are ways to suffer more successfully.

Recognizing Your own Wealth and Residing in an Abundant Universe

abundance-resonating-in-wealth-consciousness
“Abundance is not something we acquire, it’s something we tune in to.” – Wayne Dyer

We live in an abundant universe! There is literally an infinite amount of energy. In all actuality there is no such thing as scarcity or lack because there is literally no place that exists that isn’t jam packed full of energy. We are pure energy, the air between two people is full of energy, every thought and feeling we have is energy.

Even the thought that you have that you don’t have enough is still more energy. When you stop to think about it, we are all very wealthy people. Actually, it is impossible to not be wealthy when at our core, and at the core of everyone we meet, and every object we own or see, and every breath of air that we take is still this same infinite energy supply that literally exists everywhere.

Transcending Personality: How to Become a ‘Nobody’

transcend-personality

“Trying to define yourself is like trying to bite your own teeth” – Alan Watts

Personality is defined as, “The set of emotional qualities, ways of behaving, etc., that makes a person different from other people; attractive qualities that make something unusual or interesting,” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary).

In theory this sounds great… right up our ego’s alley. To have qualities or behaviors that make us UNIQUE, DISTINGUISHABLE, and DIFFERENT from other people sounds like the perfect recipe to reinforce our separateness from others.

But is our personality who we really are? And who or what decides what our “personality” is? Since our perspective of ourselves may be vastly different than another person’s perspective of us, who would be the correct one if we were trying to define our specific “personality”?

Transcending the Dependency Paradigm

“Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless –like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” – Bruce Lee

I’ve written articles about kicking open the third eye, about becoming a better god, and about who we really are. But maybe that was inadvertently putting the cart before the horse. Maybe the horse of our nirvana just keeps slamming into the back of the cart of our disillusionment over and over. Maybe by getting down to the basic nature of our relationships –with ourselves, with others, and with the system– we can help ourselves get the horse back in front of the cart so we can continue down the twisting, unpredictable, ever-changing and uncertain path toward enlightenment. Or maybe not. Either way, in this article we’re going to break down the dependency paradigm in order to see if we can get the horse/cart equation to balance out.

6 Common Dreams and their Interpretation

Meaning of Dreams
Carl Jung was thoroughly convinced about dreams being symbolical representation of one’s unconscious mind & future indications. In his books on Dream analogy he stated dreams to be, “a spontaneous self-portrayal, in symbolic form, of actual situations in the unconscious”.

To the untrained mind, they may appear to be mere illusions or impressions from mundane life but to a trained mind, dreams are a mental state with an arrangement of pattern.

Dreams is the language our mind adopts to communicate with us. But based on our intuition and the ego, we can actually decipher & understand this hidden language of symbols, images and sensations. The average person has three to five dreams per night, but some may have up to seven dreams in one night.
