We begin our lives being almost wholly dependent upon our parents, especially our mothers. This is how it works for everyone, from the beggar on the street to the Queen of England, we start out helpless and unable to survive on our own. Gradually, we start to take care of ourselves more and more, until one day we're able to live on our own. We become independent, or so it seems...

Here in America, you get your own job, your own car, your own house, and now you're free to live your life. You're an independent, hard-working adult and a contributing member of society. Except there's a problem here. If you're like most people, you begin your “independence” enormously in debt. If you don't pay the bank, that house and car that seem to belong to you will be taken away, and by force if needed. The bank that was so friendly when they stood to profit off of you will suddenly become your worst enemy. If things like your transportation and shelter depend upon paying someone else, how independent can you say you are? If your whole lifestyle depends upon you keeping your job, are you sure you're really independent?

Even if you're already wealthy, consider this: What you flush down the toilet, it just magically disappears, right? The way people behave, that's almost what it seems like, but no, someone actually has to deal with your shit. Same with the garbage you throw away. The gas that your car, how many people worked hard to bring that to you? Same with your food, water, clothing, all the things you depend upon for survival, they came from other people, didn't they?

15 Year Old Treats Chrohn’s Disease With Cannabis & Gets His Life Back

Coltyn Turner, a 15 year old boy who, as a result of his battle with Chrohn’s disease (a severe type of inflammatory bowel disease), was so ill that he had to be confined to a wheelchair, recently testified before the Colorado State Legislature that he’d “rather be illegally alive than legally dead.”

This is because he used cannabis to treat his disease, which is illegal in his home state of Illinois. Simply in order to treat their son with cannabis, his family was forced to re-locate to Colorado.

Anchor Walks Off Live TV In Disgust After Refusing To Report On Kardashians

(They’re) a non-story!” I believe most of us, including myself, would shout “amen” at the top of their lungs like it’s a Sunday in the South if we heard someone in the media utter those words. Well, get ready to holler.

The above exclamations are actually direct quotes spoken by Orlando-area news anchor John Brown during a live broadcast of “Good Day Orlando” on Friday.

After covering the usual local news, the show began to transition into a segment about one of the Kardashian daughters recently naming her new pet rabbit “Bruce.” (Just typing that sentence made me want to launch my fist into the computer screen where my pupils are currently fixated. Rest assured, I’m still typing, so I obviously mustered up all of the self-control in my being and refrained.) That’s when Brown interrupted the correspondent reporting the “story” in mid-sentence:

Perseid meteor shower: year's greatest meteor show peaks on August 12 and 13

The peak of this year's Perseid meteor shower is just around the corner, forecasted during the overnight hours of August 12 and 13 in the absence of any or much moonlight.

Perseids originate in Comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle, which was discovered in 1862 by Lewis Swift and Horace Tuttle. This is a large comet with estimated size of nucleus about 26 km (16 miles).

This is one of the most plentiful showers, with 50 - 100 shooting stars seen per hour, visible from all over the northern hemisphere.

This meteor shower is known for its very fast and bright meteors which leave long wakes of light and color as they streak through the atmosphere. Fireballs, larger explosions of light and color that can persist longer than an average meteor streak, are also associated with this shower and you can expect an increase in fireball events around its peak.

Entering The Angelic Realms

Angels seem to have become out of fashion on the account of other metaphysical realm entities such as ghouls, nature spirits, ghosts and other non-biological beings getting the majority of the attention. I would like to bring them back on the table.

There is always a choice to be made: whether to describe their realms theoretically or as an experienced metaphysical reality.

Since I said in a recent post: ´We need a lived spirituality´, I will go for the experienced, then into describing the realms,  but first some overall remarks. I basically use free flow consciousness to describe this, and it has its own way of straying.

Often, relating to these metaphysical realms and having different entities in one’s life is a question of seeing them.

Day 83: Befriending Your Dragons

BEFRIENDNG YOUR DRAGONS There are several layers of emotions that need to be peeled in order to release the patterns and behaviors associated with deep-seated hurts. The goal is to free yourself from fears, habits and belief codes that no longer serve you and keep you locked away from a life filled with joy and peace. The following are some layers to address in order to change belief codes and heal wounds from past experiences. Forgive your perpetrators.

Know that all persons are operating to the best of their ability, even though they may be choosing things that are not for the highest good for themselves and all concerned. Allow all persons to be who they are, whether or not you are in agreement with their behaviors. Release all judgment of people, places and events. Release any feelings of victimhood. Recognize the blessings in all situations, no matter how horrendous.

Change all negative thoughts aimed at yourself and others. Stop re-telling stories that keep your unresolved issues alive. Face buried fears and emotions and replace them with love. Today’s Message offers one method that will allow you to begin working on problems you are ready to resolve. Like the dragon, you will become empowered, and react more gracefully so you can live a life full of love and harmony.
