I have heard you cry out in the moonlight:

“Beloved God, God in the Highest. I love the sound of the words God in the Highest, and, of course, there is no other God but You. You are simply God, beyond description. How can we human beings attribute qualities to You, yet, of course, we do.

“You, God, Who manifest us, are unmanifest. You are in a realm behind the scenes, yet you are certainly present, and You speak and act through us. In fact, we don’t exist at all except in You, isn’t that so? That’s what I understand. Dear God, you are a puzzle I continually try to figure out.”

Yes, this is so. You puzzle. You are clearly puzzled. I am the Simple of the Simple. I see. I do not react. Talk about the Present, I present life, and I am the Present. My Board of Directors is One. I do not sit and ponder. I am One Motion. I cover the Universe, and I am the Universe. I do not hide. I see far and wide, yet I am hidden from your view, except as how the world turns. I am your Proponent. I do not once leave your side, yet you puzzle this. You wonder how you can feel so alone and it be true that I am by your side.

People believe only when something is written. Why do you believe in the Vedas? Why do you believe in the Bible? Why do you believe in the Geeta? It is a written document, ancient, of great prestige. What else is there? Just a great tradition supporting it.

If there had been no written record of Jesus, you would have forgotten all about Jesus. There have been many teachers and Masters of the capacity of Jesus, of the same calibre, but you don't even know their names.

In India, when Buddha existed and Mahavira was alive, there were many more teachers, at least six of the same calibre, of the same status, but you will not even know their names.

One of them was Prakuta Katyiaena, a rare gem. But he insisted that his words should not be written so that no tradition arise after him. Certainly his words were not written; no tradition has arisen, but people have completely forgotten even his name.

There was another great teacher, Buddha's contemporary, Purnakashyapa, but because no scriptures exist - they were written, but destroyed by the organized religion in India - nobody, knows anything about him.

People believe in the written word. People believe too much in their eyes. One should believe only in one's own experience. Nothing else should become a substitute, otherwise you start going false.

Yardfarmers is a new reality TV/documentary series hybrid for release in Spring 2017. It will follow a diverse set of six young Americans as they move back home with their parents to become yardfarmers. The production crew at Yardfarmers is currently searching for the right people to participate in the show. The concept is simple: follow six young Americans as they live with their parents and attempt to make a livelihood out of growing food in their parents’ and neighbours’ yards, random street flower boxes, churchyards, school yards, vacant lots, cemeteries, or whatever spaces they can find that can be converted from useless ornamental lawn into a new source of healthy, local, and sustainable food. Mother Earth is astounding in what she looks like and offers us each day: beauty, oxygen, water, spectacular nature, and an environment that provides all we need to thrive. We don't need a New Earth, just new eyes and new ways to take better care of this Earth.

Pipes with cannabis residue were found in the Bard's garden

State-of-the-art forensic technology from South Africa has been used to try and unravel the mystery of what was smoked in tobacco pipes found in the Stratford-upon-Avon garden of William Shakespeare.

Residue from clay tobacco pipes more than 400 years old from the playwright’s garden were analysed in Pretoria using a sophisticated technique called gas chromatography mass spectrometry.

Chemicals from pipe bowls and stems which had been excavated from Shakespeare' garden and adjacent areas were identified and quantified during the forensic study. The artefacts for the study were on loan from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

Houston, Texas Reduces Homelessness By 50% In 4 Years!

While it is estimated over 100 million people worldwide are homeless and as many as 1 billion people lacked adequate housing, the city of Houston, Texas has impressively reduced its rate of street-bound citizens by 50% in only four years, with homeless advocates pushing to bring the number to zero.

“We have truly gone from managing homelessness to ending homelessness,” said Marilyn Brown, CEO of the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County in a statement. “We are just getting our second wind.”

As reported by Essence, the city of Houston has taken grand steps to alleviate the condition, including a plan in 2012 that added more than 250 new available housing units. More than 1,000 additional units are planned, and the number of homeless shelters has also increased. The efforts have delivered housing to more than 3,600 homeless veterans.

Government is government and business is business, and the two are very different from each other. A business exists solely to earn profits for its owners. On the other hand, a prime function of government is to keep the playing field level between citizens so that no one person or groups of people can take unfair advantage of others.

This being the case, it should be clear that the goals of government and corporations are at cross-purposes with each other. A business earns profits by exploiting its environment and seeking advantage in the market place. In contrast, governments exist to ensure that a business does not wrongfully exploit the environment, take unfair advantage of their competitors or customers, and operates in a manner that is beneficial and positive for all concerned.

Donald Trump Says He Can Buy Politicians, None of His Rivals Disagree

Donald Trump bragged Thursday night that he could buy politicians — even the ones sharing the stage with him at a Republican presidential debate.

Trump was asked about something he said in a previous interview: “When you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do.”

“You’d better believe it,” Trump said. “If I ask them, if I need them, you know, most of the people on this stage I’ve given to, just so you understand, a lot of money.”

The only complaints came from two candidates who yelled that they had received no Trump money. As Trump continued to talk, he was interrupted by Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., complaining that Trump instead gave campaign contributions to Rubio’s Democratic opponent.

“I hope you will give to me,” said Gov. John Kasich of Ohio.

“Sounds good. Sounds good to me, governor,” said Trump.

WASHINGTON -- The CIA is willing to overlook some of its shadier partners’ human rights records if they can still get the goods, according to agency Director John Brennan.

In a letter sent to a trio of lawmakers and provided to The Huffington Post, Brennan expanded on the agency’s controversial relationships with less-than-desirable characters, offering an unusually candid glimpse into the spies' liaison partnerships.

The letter, a response to Sens. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), sought to clarify public remarks made by Brennan earlier this year. The unclassified response was dated Thursday.
